I’m not saying that to impress you, but because the track record matters when we get to the deeper reasoning behind it all for me. Nothing and no one has brought me closer to God than astrology. It’s too perfect, it’s too accurate, it’s not quite a science but if you understand how to tap into this energy it’s a peek behind the curtain of the rules that drive this existence. The planets move in perfect mathematical precision, perfect elliptical patterns, their timing so exact that astronomers can calculate their positions thousands of years in either direction down to the degree. And that precision maps onto the archetypes that inspire human psychology, explain human experience, create timing in a way that is impossible to dismiss as coincidental once you’ve watched it work as many times as I have. I stopped needing to justify it years ago. I just use it.

I have become closer to God over the years, opening my heart back up to the possibility after seeing this work in action. I’ve struggled with how to define it over the years, and have come to the acceptance of being a Follower of Christ, but still denounce the label of Christian. I know that might be shocking to people on both sides. It may not be easy to digest for the Christians, the athiests, or the occultists reading this right now. How could the two things possibly coexist? Following Jesus but also practicing something denounced by modern Christians as wicked doesn’t seem to make sense on the surface but let me explain.

I grew up Jehovah’s Witness. My family called me the devil for having visions and insight for as long as I could remember. “Only Satan speaks directly to you to sway you toward him, you’re not Chosen. You need to ignore the Devil” Sundays were service. Tuesdays were service. Thursdays were Bible study. Saturdays were spent door knocking, because apparently one day’s devotion during the weekend wasn’t enough. We were raised to understand the difference between God’s law and man’s law, which I now actually think is a worthwhile concept in today’s world. We didn’t say the Pledge of Allegiance or get involved in politics. We weren’t allowed to gamble. We had a specific structure for how to move through the world. We also had our own translation of the Bible, which the organization controlled and altered. And the congregation generally waited for whoever was at the front of the room to tell them what the words meant rather than reading them and deciding for themselves. I noticed that early and it always stuck with me.

I got my hands on a Catholic Bible when I was eleven or twelve and read the whole thing cover to cover because I was fascinated by the translation differences. The places where the wording shifted in ways that weren’t small, they actually changed the entire meaning of what was being said. That kind of thing gets into a kid’s head.

It sparked an awareness in me that the text and what we’re being told the text says are not only two separate things, but that the gap between them is intentional. The Devil is in the details after all.

What closed the door on any relationship with God for me was getting beaten in the bathrooms of the Kingdom Hall by my father and watching the elders look the other way. These were the people who would sit me down to chastise me for saying “bless you” after someone sneezed. They would preach against wishing “happy birthday” for the same reasons, because those phrases had pagan origins and were against Jehovah. They were small ways to turn us against His word. Actual physical harm to a child in their own building was no issue, the place kept moving business as usual. Fantasy football is what disfellowshipped him in the end. That taught me something that no Bible study ever could, which is that an institution’s stated values and what it actually protects are often two very different things. You can tell everything you need to know about an institution by watching what it ignores. It says a lot about their true motives and drives. They were more worried about policing the words I said after someone sneezed than what was happening to me from a guardian. I was a kid and even I could clearly understand that something was deeply wrong with that math.

I am not lumping together all the people in those congregations when I point out the deep and dehumanizing hypocrisy of their teachings. The people I grew up around were mostly sincere, genuinely good-hearted people who were doing the best they could inside the framework they came to trust. Most Christians are whether we’re looking at the JWs or the evangelical.

That’s the part that makes the people in charge ruining these spaces with greed and corruption tragic.

When I started reading the Bible on my own terms, as a historical document and a cultural key rather than a rulebook being managed by someone else, the whole thing changed. I was able to watch Jesus stop being the mild, patient, passive figure I was handed on Sundays and started being one of the most radical, confrontational, socially subversive people in the historical record. The version of him we’ve inherited in modern Christianity has been very methodically and intentionally declawed. He would have flipped tables in today’s mega churches and we all know it.

“Turn the other cheek” is probably the most neutered of all of them. We’ve been taught that passage means we should absorb harm without complaint. Be meek and let it go. But that’s not at all what was being said to his followers. It was a confrontational dare. To put it into context, in the first century Judea, a person of higher social standing was allowed to strike someone of lower standing with the back of the right hand, to their right cheek. It was a gesture of dominance not an opening for a fight or conversation. Doled out as a punishment to someone they deemed beneath them. Offering the left cheek forced the other person to either use their palm, which was how equals struck each other, or walk away. It was a defiant act that challenged both the agressor’s ego and the law. It was a way of demanding to be treated as an equal without throwing a punch. Turning your other cheek to them was aggressive and brave and it had nothing to do with passivity. Jesus was teaching people how to hold their dignity inside a system designed to strip it from them. That is a completely different message, and somebody worked pretty hard to sand that edge off into creating a mass population of people who will lay down and take abuse.

He confronted money lenders with violence.

He spent his time with the people the religious establishment wanted nothing to do with.

He reserved his harshest words not for sinners but for religious leaders who used God’s name to maintain their own power over people who trusted them. He said specifically that false prophets would come dressed like shepherds and that the flock would be preyed upon. He was not trying to hide this direct warning. He was describing something he expected to happen, and I think most of us can look at a prosperity gospel megachurch or a congregation where abuse gets buried to protect the institution and recognize what he was talking about. TITHE TITHE TITHE! Need a new jet to spread the Good Word!

This is why I say I follow Christ but I am not a Christian. That distinction is not me being cute or contrarian. The figure in the actual text and the institution that carries his name have a complicated relationship, and I think a lot of people feel that but don’t quite have the words for it. Sick of enough religious abuse and rejection, it’s easier to keep these thoughts inside. We kept what was real and walked away from the cold soulless house of “worship”. There are more of us out here than people think, and being afraid to share it keeps us distanced from one another.

Can I really believe and follow the Bible and still practice astrology professionally? Maybe you should understand the age and annotation of the Bible I study. I have The Parallel Bible: Holy Bible Containing The Authorized & Revised Versions--Old & New Testaments Arranged In Parallel Columns printed in 1885. It’s a scholarly look at the updated texts, why they’ve been updated, and the historical significance of these cities and laws. This is not something studied lightly for me. (Pun intended because this thing is like 20 pounds!)

The argument I hear often is that astrology is a form of divination and divination is forbidden. So therefore astrology is incompatible with following Christ. I’ve even heard this from people who speak in tongues and consider that language to be a direct channel to God. Which always makes me want to ask the follow up question nobody seems to connect together: how is that His language but not something He literally created and placed in perfect order above our heads?

Glossolalia, better known as speaking in tongues, has been studied by linguists and researchers across cultures and countries. What they found consistently is that the phonemes produced during these episodes reflect the speaker’s native language. An English native produces different sounds than someone who speaks Mandarin or Spanish. Whatever is happening spiritually in those moments, and I am not here to tell anyone their experience is invalid, it is not coming out as a universal divine language that bypasses human neurology. It’s bits and pieces of their own native language dissected and reassembled. The research on this is fairly settled. But it is still accepted widely as a holy act, a genuine communion with God.
I’m not arguing against it. I’m pointing out that if that clears the bar, then a 4,000+ year-old discipline that reads the precise mathematical movements of planets God created and placed being dismissed as God’s language just because it’s not in the same words we speak to one another seems silly to me. That line was drawn somewhere, by someone, for reasons that had more to do with institutional control than scripture. To strip you of your power and connection to that which is most High is the problem, not your deep connection to it.

Genesis 1:14. God said let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide day from night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. Signs. The text says signs. Signs exist to be read. That’s what they’re for. That’s the only thing they’re for.

God put the planets there. The Moon, for starters, is one of the most anomalous objects in our solar system. Most moons are tiny relative to their parent planets. Ours is roughly a quarter of Earth’s size, which that itself is not normal. It is tidally locked, meaning the same face always points toward us, which is not the default state for orbiting bodies. They rotate, but not our moon. Her face stays pointing toward Earth, bearing witness at all times.
The distance between the Moon and Earth is so perfectly placed that during a total solar eclipse, the Moon covers the Sun’s disc almost exactly. This is why we can see the solar corona so well during these events. The angular diameters match and the odds of that being random geometry are essentially zero. The Moon stabilizes Earth’s axial tilt which is what gives us consistent seasons instead of wildly lurching climate swings that would have made the development of complex life impossible due to the conditions and lack of atmosphere. The tidal rhythms driven by the Moon are believed to have played a direct role in the emergence of early life on Earth. The Moon does not operate like a rock that happened to wind up there. It behaves like something that was perfectly and mindfully placed that allowed something bigger to bloom.

Jupiter acts as a gravitational shield for the inner solar system. Its mass captures and deflects comets and asteroids that would otherwise hit Earth at extinction-level frequency with far more regularity than they do. We have been protected from random cosmic debris and Jupiter plays a significant piece of that. Saturn’s rings orbit in patterns of mathematical precision that scientists are still actively studying. The distances between planets follow a mathematical relationship called Bode’s Law that was identified before Neptune was even discovered and was used to predict where planets would be found before anyone looked. The solar system is not randomized chaos. It is geometry so precise that we navigate spacecraft across billions of miles using it.

Because this is God’s creation, what we are looking at is a perfectly synchronized clock. A clock of staggering complexity and precision that was running long before any human being was around to observe it. The idea that God would build something like that and then consider it spiritually dangerous for us to pay attention to it is, frankly, not remotely coherent to me.

The three Magi followed a “star” to find Jesus. This is one of the most repeated stories in all of Christianity, retold every December, recreated in nativity scenes across the world. What gets left out or glossed over of the modern day retelling is who the Magi actually were. Magi is the root of the word magic. They were astrologers. Part of the practitioners of a Babylonian tradition of reading celestial events for their earthly and political significance. They followed what was almost certainly the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. This rare alignment occurs roughly every twenty years. In 7 BCE Jupiter and Saturn conjoined three times within the constellation of Pisces. In the astrological tradition of that time and region, that indicated a momentous birth of something new. They followed their practice and trusted their craft, their reading of the stars, to the doorstep of the baby Jesus. Astrology was the mechanism by which they found him. It’s right there in the story.

And it’s not just in the Old Testament before the new covenant was made with Jesus. The Book of Revelation very is dense with celestial imagery and references. For example a woman clothed with the sun, standing on the moon, crowned with twelve stars. Scholars have identified this as a description of a specific astronomical configuration involving the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, and the constellation Virgo that was visible in 3 BCE. Whether or not that specific dating holds up under scrutiny, the broader point is that the author of Revelation was writing in a language that assumed the reader knew the sky. The audience was expected to understand celestial references, to be familiar enough with what was up there to track the imagery. That is not a fringe interpretation. That is the text. Then further into the chapter we see this text describing the throne in Heaven “In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.’ Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: ‘You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.’”
The Lion is Leo, the calf is Taurus, the man is Aquarius, the eagle is Scorpio. The 24 elders being a 12 number, just like the 12 brothers of Joseph and the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 diciples of Jesus is also not missed on me.

At the end of the day I’m not asking anyone to believe what I believe or start incorporating astrology into their worship. What I’m asking is that people make room for two things to be true and deeply valid. I have been called to come forward with my faith and open myself up to questions and be a point of guidance for those on a similar path in their faith.

The institution has never held the message. Jesus said “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Two or three, not a room full of 7,000. That was the whole point of the message. I am filled with his love as I type this, knowing in my heart it will open doors for me to speak life to astrology as well as Christ.

Over the last eight years I have watched astrology do something I have not seen any other tool do as quickly or as accurately: put a person face to face with themselves. With their actual nature, their real patterns, the stuff that was in them before anyone taught them who to be. I have watched people start crying in the first ten minutes of a reading because they got the validation for something, they finally had language for what they had been living with for too long. I don’t take credit for that. I am just the messenger for something bigger than myself. I’m reading a snapshot of that was already there, written in the moment they arrived on this earth and the sky arranged itself the way it did.

I don’t have a cleaner word for that than beautifully sacred. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being on this journey with me. I love what I do so much and I am so blessed to have this connection.

He got out of jail on May 9th. Five days later, he allegedly opened fire outside a courthouse. And the transits to the exact degree and minute, were setting him up for this.

For those unfamiliar with the lingo, a “chud” is internet slang for men who are chronically online, politically regressive, and socially abrasive. Their personalities ooze aggression and endless grievances against the world. The word traces back to the 1984 horror film C.H.U.D. which stood for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller. This movie depicted literal sewer monsters that fed on people. Left-wing podcast communities picked it up in the 2000s and 2010s and redirected it at a recognizable archetype to escapsulate the reactionary who lives in the digital equivalent of a sewer. They spend their days feeding on outrage and dragging others down with him. Eatherly not only earned the label but built his brand around it. Most people run from being called a monster but he proudly put it in his name.

When he walked out of a Nashville jail a free man on the 9th the Moon was in Aquarius, sextile Saturn. It was a door cracking open with just enough structural support to feel like freedom and immunity from real consequence. The pressure temporarily eased. He could breathe deeply enough mistake relief for resolution. Four days later the Moon in Aries reached an exact degree and minute conjunction with Saturn and that’s when the shooting allegedly happened.

This is the Moon’s job in an event chart and why she deserves her title in my approach to astrology as the Great Activator. The other planets set the stage. Malefics like Saturn build the tension, Mars loads it, Pluto digs the hole deeper. But none of it moves or matters until the Moon shows up and brings it down to earth for us. This is why the minutia of timing matters so much, not just the day, not just the sign, but the exact degree and minute she makes contact matters for us. This is especially true when it activates our personal birth chart like it did with Eatherly’s.

Saturn had been sitting in Aries wholly unaspected, holding its power like a live wire with nowhere to discharge, until she arrived. When an unaspected planet finally gets aspect connection again there’s an excited burst of energy that occurs upon activation. Moon awakening Saturn in Aries allowed his archetype of authority through force to take center stage. It carried the powerful lessons of the man who believed the rules didn’t apply to him until the universe enforces them personally, loudly, and in front of a building designed specifically to enforce rules. Right on brand he was at that courthouse for something entirely Saturnian in nature: a scheduled court appearance in Clarksville over a $3,300 debt allegedly owed to a credit company.

The rest of the event is equally poetic. Mars at 2° Aries was applying to Chiron, so this ripped open a wound in his own life, the community, and the people he victimized, but it had not yet finished. The Mars–Chiron conjunction a few days later marked a second activation point that brought his bail ruling of $1.25 million. Videos circulated of him closing his eyes slowly and breathing deeply, obviously pained by the high number.

Juno in Aquarius was squaring that Moon–Saturn conjunction, asking what communal commitments were being violated. Juno rules contracts and a square is friction that forces a choice. In Aquarius she’s more focused on the community and the agreements we share as a society than the marriage and business contracts she typically oversees.

Mercury is the event chart’s ruler and it is combust by conjunction with the Sun in the 9th house alongside Ceres. They all sat at the same degree in Taurus. When Mercury is combust the mind is easily consumed by ego with little to no gap between impulse and expression. In Taurus it tends to dig in. It is right because it feels right. The 9th house puts this in the territory of law, belief systems, and public platforms.
Ceres conjunct the Sun at the same degree adds a sense that the rage-bait is nourishment for him in the most distorted sense. That Mercury–Sun–Ceres cluster was sextile Jupiter in Cancer in the 11th, which gave a false sense of entitlement to nationalistic and tribalistic behavior. Motivated by perceived social injustice and prone to defending their guy, Eatherly’s message lands because it’s emotionally nourishing to a specific crowd. Cancer Jupiter expands through a sense of belonging, and this particular identity has been very good at manufacturing that feeling.

Now layer in what we know about his personal chart.

Born June 27, 1997 with the Moon in Aries, time unknown. The moon didn’t ingress or egress that day, sitting in early to mid degree. That means May 13th was, in all probability, his lunar return. The emotional body came back to baseline to set the stage for another 28 days of lessons and evolution. The Moon returned home to the moment he took his first breath. An immature Aries moon tends to be impulsive, confrontational, physically embodied, and fast to act. A lunar return on the day of a major event is the universe saying this moment is yours to make or break.

His natal Saturn sits at 19° Aries with transiting Saturn currently applying to conjunction. He is in the middle of that 28-to-30-year milestone where we step into an energetic doorway between the immature and the fully adult version of ourselves. This is a period of judgement, transformation, and extreme pressure as Saturn returns to the exact degree and minute he sat the moment you drew first breath. It feels a lot like the moment where you look at the clock and realize your dad will be home in 20 minutes, and if you forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer when you got home like the note told you to. Or you don’t have time to finish the list of chores you promised to do- or else. It’s going to be a scary moment of harsh blowback that is supposed to encourage maturity in your life, even if it’s not pleasant for anyone. The structures you have been operating on without a second thought finally require you to own them and build something lasting from it.
Of course it depends on house placement, but universally Saturn represents time, phases, and unfortunately death. For some people this looks like a promotion. For others it looks like a courthouse. Either way Saturn collects what’s owed and delivers what’s needed.

He tested Saturn’s restriction once and made bail. Twice? The judge reset his bond at $1 million because under state law, if a defendant is out on bond for other charges the bond for new charges must be at least two times the customary amount. The judge also ordered that no money crowdfunded after May 13th could be used toward it. His prior arrest was for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and theft of services. He went to a restaurant, ordered two entrees, drinks, and appetizers, ran the bill to $371, and when staff realized he had been livestreaming and asked him to stop he allegedly started yelling racist slurs and walked out without paying.

The arrest, the arraignment, the hearings are now happening under the applying return. Saturn is not yet exact, which means the pressure is still building. What we are watching in real time is the approach, a slow tightening of a vice that does not release until the lesson has been fully received. We’ll see if the sentencing or the release will line up with his exact return date on April of 2027. That is when the lesson will become official, structural, and permanent for him.

He left his young son to go out and harass people under an Aries ruled Saturn return. Aries is the infant of the zodiac, the archetype of the primordial raw unformed self, a stage of pure impulse before consequence has any meaning beyond the reflex it triggers. Saturn in Aries is intrinsically tied to the mythology of Chiron, whose conception occurred through violation by Saturn and abandonment from both parents. His mother took one look and left him to his own devices, knowing he had none as a newborn. Mars applying to Chiron carried that mythology forward into the consequences his own son now lives with.

His natal Libra Mars is already compromised, sitting in the sign of justice and law, a placement that either wants balance or wants to challenge it, but ultimately wants the crowd to agree he was right. Transiting Mars applying to conjunct Chiron formed the apex of a t-square with his natal Venus in Cancer opposing Neptune in Capricorn at the base. Venus in Cancer is the child who needs to be held. Neptune in Capricorn is the father who was never solid enough to hold anyone.

All of that unresolved longing is being processed and acted on through someone with an already weakened Mars and the outlet is provocation, performance, a camera pointed at strangers while a child sits at home. Transiting Vesta was opposing his natal Mars at the time of the event, and his natal Saturn sits conjunct natal Vesta, meaning the sacred flame he has built his identity around and the karmic weight of his Saturn return are fused into the same point. What he worships and what he owes are the same thing.

He claimed to be pushing the boundaries of the first amendment, an edgy version of the viral 1A auditors online. Most of them focus on government property like courthouses and post offices and remain anchored in the actual law even when provoking reaction for views. Racism and slurs are unfortunately protected first amendment speech, but that protection only refers to the government, not its citizens. Intentionally harassing someone in public crosses from protected speech into criminal offense. Whatever he believed he was doing, he was doing it with no legal standing. He also told on himself repeatedly. One of the tweets is below.

Mars as the ruler of his Saturn activating Chiron was a major catalyst for one of his Saturn Return lessons. Chiron in Aries is the infant wound, the Saturnian origin story of violation and abandonment, and transiting Mars walking toward that degree did exactly what Mars does when it meets an open wound. It pressed on it. Hard. The Saturnian violence that followed disconnected him from his own child the same way the mythology says it always begins. Saturn collects what was never processed. Aries never forgets the abandonment. The wound becomes the behavior becomes the headline. It’s the same energy that caused him to shoot himself in the chaos.

His transit chart is an incredible example of currently shifting mundane astrology in action through the individual natal chart. An unaspected Saturn in Aries waiting to be triggered. His lunar return on the day it happened. A natal Saturn at 19° Aries with transiting Saturn on approach. A natally combust Mercury that has spent years shouting into an echo chamber finally met its match in a combust Mercury ruled event chart. Mars tightly applying toward conjunction with Chiron. And the Moon at the center of all of it, doing what she always does: turns potential into energetic action at the moment she makes contact.

Saturn will be exact. It always is.

Medusa was a virginal priestess of Pallas Athena that raped by Neptune inside the temple she devoted herself to. The result was punishment by the goddess she served for daring to be desecrated on holy ground. So understanding what we do today about psychology and heartbreak and trauma it is completely understandable that she hardened into a monster in response. It is understandable that a soul-altering rage of that magnitude would transform her completely. What often gets skipped over is that her own defense mechanisms became weaponized against her in the end. The very thing she grew to protect herself became the justification for her destruction and the means to her end.

Ceres holds the wisdom to understand exactly when something has gone on long enough. She is well versed in what it takes to bring something from seed to fruition, and she knows precisely when to bring out the scythe. Her and Saturn are similar in that perspective, understanding the true meaning and passing of time. That’s why they both have the scythe in their astrological glyph, because in transit and in natal they both know when, and what to sever. They both know when to bring something to its natural conclusion. And when it comes to the exploitation of children, Ceres is willing to do anything to protect and bring justice. Including going to hell and back when Persephone was kidnapped at eleven years old by Pluto. And yes, to be fair to him she went on to become the only wife among the three brothers who was never cheated on, never discarded, genuinely treated as a queen. But she was still taken against her will. And Ceres shut the earth down until the divine laws made a concession on her behalf. It was only when she committed the egregious act of consuming the shoulder of Pelops due to her grief distracting her so badly that Jupiter finally acknowledged something was actually wrong here. That the natural order could not be restored without giving something back. Ceres made the gods blink.

Two women. Violated by the same archetypal force, entitled male hunger that reaches for what it wants without asking. And both of them rewrote the rules.

Perseus was a necessary evil in Merdusa’s story. He didn't have or understand the full context of what had happened to her to make her become a gorgon. The reality of what Medusa was and how she got there was not his story or burden to carry. That doesn't make him wrong. That doesn't make her wrong either. Two totally valid, completely true and somehow totally opposite and contradictory forces moving toward each other on a collision course that was always going to end one way. Both of them were brave and resilient and operating from exactly where life had placed them.

What Perseus built after her death is not a footnote in mythology or even history. He went on to father the Persian Empire, one of the oldest civilizations still standing on this earth. Rome was mythologically born of Romulus and Remus and that empire crumbled centuries ago. Persia never fully fell, it transformed and modernized. That lineage and sense of heroism runs in an unbroken thread through to Iran today. That is what Algol does. It doesn't let the original wound dissolve and disappear into the pages of mythology. It keeps writing it into the world.

The Butler assassination attempt on Donald Trump happened under a Mars-Uranus conjunction that directly activated Algol by conjunction and squared his natal Mars conjunct Regulus. It was chaotic violence and held an energy of severing and sudden irreversible rupture. And it was electrified and aimed at power. Some political figures have speculated this was the event that lead to the conflict we’re in today. No longer in the frantic Uranian lightning strike anymore, instead on the precipice of a new beginning sparked from what it built or intiated.

Under this New Moon Mars tightly conjunct Chiron in Aries holds the pain, anger, and intensity of a combat veteran in the middle of a PTSD flashback. It is vivid and rageful and it hurts deeply in ways that are disorienting and take away autonomy and control. Their conjunction inspires a moment where the depth of the wound finally becomes undeniable and unavoidable, where you cannot help but succumb even for the people who need you. It inspires change because life literally cannot go on this way. Enough is enough is not always a calm decision. It often stems from a breaking point.

Mars’ only aspect connection is a sextile to Venus, and Mercury is at their midpoint. Venus in Gemini has just enough distance to actually be useful here. She is not drowning in it with us. She will listen, she will reflect it back, she will help Mars articulate what he’s feeling. We don’t get the depths of her softness, but we do get the grace of her desire for things to be better.

This is not a New Moon for small intentions or grand manifestations. This is a New Moon that’ll finally chip away and release the truth you have been holding inside so long it has hardened and calcified.

Mercury is sitting tightly conjunct Algol, wedged between the fixed star and Uranus freshly into Gemini. The mind is still buzzing from the cazimi three days prior, his supercharged meeting with the Sun that sent thoughts through like a current. But Mercury is still in Taurus. He’s fixed. Slow. Deeply concerned with morals and values. Whatever came through in that cazimi is demanding to come out with full weight behind it.

Moving from the intensity of Algol into Uranian energy can be volatile. It can be extremely unpredictable. The rebellion and the rage and the need for social change that this sky is generating, if it does not have roots under it, if it moves too fast without the grounding that Taurus insists on, it can snowball out of our control or intention. Uranus in Gemini will inspire great change. It will impact the way we speak to one another and view community and our neighbors.

Saturn is in a four-degree conjunction with Pallas Athena, the same goddess who turned Medusa into a monster and then lent her own image to Perseus as a weapon. Saturn and Athena sitting together is strategic and unrelenting. They are cold arbiters who will not think twice to say this ends here. When Saturn meets Pallas Athena in transit, there is an accounting available around what we have done in the name of civilization, in the name of strategy, in the name of the greater good. Who did we punish that we shouldn’t have? What systems did we protect that were built on someone’s desecration? How did we use anger and violence to punish and imprison ourselves and others?

Ceres conjunct the luminaries will not wait for that conversation to conclude. She will cut right through to the root to protect and prevent more suffering.

Jupiter in Cancer offers a much needed exhale in this chart through a sextile to the New Moon. But Jupiter in Cancer is not universally generous. He picks and chooses who survives and who starves because he is tribal. Nationalistic. He loves fiercely and within a defined circle. The expansion available here is toward home, toward origin, toward the people and land you are actually rooted in. He is focused on deepening the ties to the specific, embodied, territorial belonging that Cancer protects.

We are in truly historic times. The news that’s breaking right now, the wounds being torn open and laid bare, the systems being exposed and severed, the rage of women and the pain of warriors and the children who need someone to fight for them. It’s all reflected in the intensity of the transits 2026 carries. This is the kind of moment that gets written into the foundation of what comes next. Just like Perseus built an empire on a severed head. And like Ceres who rewrote cosmic law over a stolen child.

Uncertainty is part of this uncomfortable metamorphosis. You are living through something that you cannot prepare for or understand until you’re deep in it.

But we are going to make it to the other side of this. And when we do, we are going to sit our grandchildren down and tell them exactly how it felt, exactly what we saw, exactly what broke beyond repair and what we refused to let break with it. Then the Moon crossed Saturn and whatever Neptune left soft and unresolved, floating without an answer, solidified into something far less uncertain. Saturn takes the fog and the unanswered questions and every blurred edge and converts them. The easy route for this alchemy process is into fear, a scarcity logic, and a consuming anxiety that says if you cannot see clearly then something must be wrong and something must be controlled to fix it, that a resolution must be forced before the ground shifts further away from you. A sense of stoic control is much more useful, but much harder to come by in the moment. The combination of Neptune’s dissolution and Saturn’s hard-lined demand for certainty creates a grinding internal push-pull between the part of you that cannot discern what is real and the part of you that needs to nail something down immediately just to feel safe again.

We don’t see the intensity of this week’s transit energy letting up until the 17th. Moon is now applying toward Mars who is sitting conjunct Chiron in Aries. Things will go from feeling heavy and out of our control and sharped into something more pointed. This is because Chiron is the wounded healer whose entire origin story is the most extreme version of what he is able to influence us to survive and transcend. He was born of violation and abandoned into a pain he did not choose and did not deserve. But what he did with that hand he was dealt is more important than the circumstances of his birth, because Chiron became the one who broke the cycle entirely. He was a son of Saturn and the only one in his lineage who wanted the children he brought into and up through this world to be greater than he was. He raised them without the fear and shame that shaped him and was able to survive the worst of what the world had to offer the vulnerable and still chose to pour that knowledge into healing others rather than perpetuating the wound forward. Mars applying to conjunct Chiron holds both sides of that story simultaneously: the paralysing vulnerability and shock and shame of the original wound and the extraordinary power of someone who has faced the horrors of this world and still finds the good in it worth fighting for. Now that the Moon is moving into that conjunction it is going to pull all of it into our emotional body at once.

I am personally in the middle of trying to close on a house right now and the process has been maddening. Back and forth with an owner who used to rent the house out that’s required me to stay polite and patient and measured with people who are making an already difficult process feel impossible. I am paying and depending on the agent representing us while internally running off of an energetic frequency that has very little patience left in it. The Moon moving through this activation sequence today is not helping. I say that as someone who does this professionally and still has to take a breath and remind herself that venting to the wrong person, even when every word of the frustration is valid and earned, creates a problem that outlasts the feeling that generated it. Because people remember what was said in the unguarded moment long after you have moved past it. The deal still has to close one way or another, the relationship still has to hold, and the professional still has to feel like I trust them enough to finish the job, so the frustration has to go somewhere else entirely and it has to go there on purpose.

Healthy outlets are not an optional luxury under a transit like this one. They are load-bearing, and the right outlet depends entirely on how your Moon and Mercury because that combination is what determines the best way to keep that energy moving through the body instead of stagnating or exploding. The wrong outlet for your combination will leave you more activated and frustrated without the right release than when you started so the specificity matters! Here’s some examples:

Gemini Moon · Aries Mercury

It’s easy for emotions to be all over the place today. The mind is running hot and loud and jumping between five different feelings before any of them have finished forming, so the worst thing you can do is sit still with it and try to sort it out. Today quiet is not where this combination will find relief. Loud is, so put on the music that matches the feeling at full volume and sing it out at the top of your lungs without apology so the throat chakra is fully activated and releasing. Do this until the charge starts to move, and then when the volume has done its work and the initial pressure has had somewhere to go, sit down and write out everything that is still left inside you. Let out everything you wanted to say and didn’t, every frustration that has been circling your mind, and write it in full and unfiltered. And then burn it. You’re giving it to God, not snowballing this into a bigger issue. The physical act of destroying it is the completion the Aries Mercury needs and the Gemini Moon gets the release of having moved through the feeling rather than around it.

Virgo Moon · Virgo Mercury

Today under the combust Mercury transit Virgo Moon can not metabolize destructive feelings by sitting with them or talking them out. It’s time to start making something useful out of the energy they generate, because Virgo Mercury needs the satisfaction of a process that has a beginning and a method and a finished result at the end of it. This is why today I am spending the day turning the cherries we picked on Mother’s Day into preserves, because the methodical and repetitive work of processing something raw into something useful and lasting is exactly the kind of task that gives the frustration somewhere productive to go. The hands are busy, the mind has a job, and at the end of it there is something tangible sitting on the counter that did not exist before, and that is how Virgo processes the things that would otherwise just spin. It turns them into something useful to release them, and you will feel genuinely more like yourself on the other side of a finished project than you will from any amount of talking about what is bothering you.

The emotional tests and trials today have a culmination point and it arrives early tomorrow morning at just about 2 am when Mercury reaches cazimi conjunction with the Sun in Taurus, exact at 7:24am PST. He continues holding position within that 17 minute window of pure solar conjunction until approximately 1pm. A cazimi is not a regular conjunction that works through proximity, it is a complete synergy that plugs Mercury directly into the nuclear core of solar consciousness. This blend of energy purifies his signal and then amplifies it, and tomorrow morning that translates into an opening where insight cuts through everything today has been making murky and loud and unresolvable.

Mercury and the Sun hold a tight conjunction with Ceres through that entire window, and as he leaves cazimi and enters combust conjunction he’ll still be within 7 minutes of her. Ceres is the mother who learned her daughter had been dragged into the underworld and went to the gates of hell herself to fight for Persephone’s return. When the laws of the land said what had been taken could not be fully given back she changed the terms anyway. She came back with the seasons in her hands. Her presence alongside Mercury cazimi in Taurus means whatever insight hits us tomorrow morning carries that same hard-won maternal ferocity, the kind that has already survived the descent and knows exactly what it is fighting for. Taurus rules morals and values, so I expect a big push toward protecting children.

Taurus’ ruler Venus will be semisextile Mercury at near exact degree during the cazimi window while sextile to Mars. This means the healthy processing of anger and frustration you do today keeps tomorrow clean and usable. Things can snowball quickly under that Venus-Mars contact due to the passion they generate so the work you do now determines how much of that cazimi window you can actually receive rather than react to.

Two days later just on the 16th we have the Taurus New Moon hours after Mars and Chiron perfect their conjunction at 28°24’ Aries. Everything this week is ultimately building toward that moment. The alchemization of this pain is the whole point. It will have its answer either way.

If you needed to get from Pennsylvania down to Florida to reach someone you love, you cannot possibly resent the car every time it has to pass through another state, and you definitely cannot decide the journey is broken because you blew a tire on the side of the highway in North Carolina. Being momentarily stuck in North Carolina is not the destination nor a reflection of your goals. Just like the blown tire is not a verdict on whether or not you deserve to arrive. It is just what happened between here and there and the only meaningful question is whether you are going to get it fixed and keep driving or sit on the shoulder and build a life around the inconvenience of it. That is not a far distant metaphor for some of us along the path of life, that is exactly how the soul moves through a time and the way we respond to the interruptions in it determines so much for us. Do we continue tomeet it with resentment and resistance stemming from the exhaustion of someone who has confused the road for the destination? Or do we keep our eyes on the prize and keep going?

There are three places in astrology we look toward, both natal and transit, to find information on what the journey and the setbacks will look like.

The 8th house understands this painful transformation and things left behind better than any other house in the chart. It knows all too well there is hardly any version of true transformation that feel comfortable, because real change requires that something actually die before the next thing can be born. The process the 8th house runs you through is not going to feel like growth while it is happening, it is going to feel like loss and disorientation and the specific grief of watching a version of yourself or your life become unrecognizable. But it always holds an invitation inside that experience, if you can hold yourself together long enough to receive it, is to trust that what is being dismantled was never going to get you where you were actually trying to go anyway.

Pluto is fixed and determined, he does not negotiate or offer a gentler alternative if you ask nicely during the process of death and rebirth. He surgically strips away and starves off what is no longer serving the evolution of the soul. The methodology can feel catastrophic in the moment and clarifying in retrospect, and the people who have significant Pluto contacts in their charts or who are undergoing a Pluto transit know this specific feeling of having the rug pulled from underneath something they built and believed in. The reactive and resentful response to that is as understandable as it is completely counterproductive because Pluto is not punishing you, he is redirecting you, and fighting the redirect costs an enormous amount of energy that could be going toward building what comes next.

Chiron shows us the wounds that do not close cleanly in our psyche, and the scar tissue that forms here is the Kintsugi that brings unique and powerful beauty to the ways you touch and heal the world. The growing pains here are the most concentrated and the most instructive, the setbacks have a texture of familiarity because they are pressing down on something that was able to awaken and ignite you toward the higher ends of Chiron’s story: respect, foresight, reverence, mastery, and most importantly cycle breaking and mentorship of the vulnerable.

I spent a significant amount of time being reactive to every setback after a childhood of receiving the brunt end of generational cycles that just could not be broken by those who came before me. I was reading every bump in the road as evidence that the destination was not real or somehow not meant for me, being withheld as punishment for something I could not remember in this lifetime. What that reactivity cost me was not just the energy I burned on the resentment, but the time I lost being stationary when I could have been moving. Trusting the process is not some zen passive or soft mindset, it is one of the more demanding disciplines in stepping into a new life for a person who is actually paying attention, because it requires you to hold the destination clearly in your mind while allowing the route to be something other than what you envisioned or intended. It’s not easy to maintain hope and choose that direction even when the evidence in front of you is not in alignment with your optimism.

Every setback is the journey, it’s not some detour, but a necessary part of getting there. The tests are absolutely uncomfortable but they’re also the moment where your life actually shifts the way you need it to. All the shadow work that your 8th house, Pluto, and Chiron are all pointing at is learning to accept those moments as information rather than punishment or some sign that the universe isn’t on your side. One unexpected blown tire may just be telling you something about what you are hauling around with you and whether the foundation underneath all that speed and momentum was solid enough to sustain it. The Chiron solar eclipse in April of 2024 shone an uncomfortable light directly into the wounds that the collective needed to heal. It exposed the family patterns that were inherited and never examined, the childhood experiences and the feelings it caused that are sitting in the body at a cellular level to rise to the surface and be dealt with. People spend enormous amounts of energy tiptoeing around these things rather than facing it head on, but this eclipse did not offer the option of burying things further down for the sake of progress at any cost. We have all had to realize uncomfortable truths about ourselves, our families, and our society and find our own way of stepping up and inviting change into these spaces.

The uncomfortable work we’ve been doing these past two years has been some of the hardest anyone can do. I want you to remember that this kind of change does not move in a straight line or always feel like progress is being made at all. But that doesn’t mean you are not so much further along than the weight of the road makes it feel like you are. The destination you are driving toward is real, so please for the love of God don’t give up now.

When Neptune is making a tight conjunction, opposition, square, and sometimes even trine aspect connection with the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, the Ascendant or the Descendant in a natal chart, certain qualities tend to show up within the native’s personal expression. These are the people who feel everything at a frequency most people cannot access or imagine, like a musician who can separate every instrument and chord vs someone who can’t even distinguish the lyrics enough to understand what the song is about. Their empathy is not a skill they developed intentionally but instead has become an opportunity to hone a gift from a condition they were born into. They unintentionally walk into a room and absorb the emotional and energetic atmosphere of it before a single word has been spoken in their direction.

They are the storytellers and the artists. The ones whose creative work carries us through our days and make them more bearable because they have that particular quality of having been pulled from somewhere deeper than craft alone can explain.

Heavily Neptunian people are also consistently and often without fully realizing it the screen onto which other people project their fantasies and fears and unmet needs, which carries its own specific and exhausting burden that Neptune people carry whether they signed up for it or not.

Because of both of these sides of Neptune’s nature blur the understanding of reality and illusion, truth and delusion so profoundly it can create a divorce between being honest and being deceptive. And this can happen intentionally and reflexively without thinking. Because Neptune is so adept at fantasy he is a talented and prolific liar. The tells with Neptunian natives are simply not present the way they are in other people. And remember, that has nothing to do with malice and everything to do with the architecture of how these people experience reality.

The microexpressions that flicker across someone’s face when they are saying something they know to be untrue, the slight hesitation, the overcorrection, the way the body betrays the mouth in someone who is consciously constructing a lie… these are the signals of a person who knows the difference between what is real and what they are presenting and these subtle tells are what’s working overtime managing the distance between those two things so the lie is possible in the first place. People with heavily Neptunian charts are often not even thinking about managing that distance because for them the distance does not always exist. The fantasy is genuinely as real as the fact because it feels real. The story they are telling has its own internal truth and emotional weight and they are truly inside it which is why it naturally pours out of them the way it does and why the people around them so often cannot put their finger on what exactly happened until much later.

The impact of Neptune’s relationship with truth is an intentional journey, which is why it is the ruler of Pisces, a sign associated with karmic endings and the transformative process the soul goes through before rebirth into Aries. Finding the line and holding it is important because the impact of our words lands on other people in ways that are real and sometimes devastating regardless of the internal experience of the person doing it. What Neptune is asking of the people it touches heavily is a demanding piece of character development, which is to develop a conscious and respect the weight of their word in a way that does not come naturally. Neptunian energy is fluid and the word that was true this morning may feel different by afternoon so the rigidity of being held to what you said requires a kind of Saturnian groundedness that Neptune placements have to build deliberately.

And don’t think I’m just painting Neptune as something negative, he’s just the focus of this article. Each planet, even the benefics like Venus and Jupiter will have their own trials to work though within this lifetime. Heavily Martian people who naturally lead with aggression and force have to arrive at a genuine understanding that being the one who creates safety for themselves and others is part of their power and not a diminishment of it. A realization like that does not come from someone telling them to calm down, it comes from an internal epiphany that their energy can and should be wielded for a specific purpose and that sometimes they are the villain they’re hunting down. A heavily Saturnian person who has armored themselves in discipline and control and the performance of competence has to arrive at the understanding that softness and genuine vulnerability are not weaknesses that will be used against them but the very qualities that make leadership worth following, and that realization requires dismantling something that was built specifically to protect against it. Neptune's version of that lightbulb moment is arriving at the place where the integrity of your word becomes something you value more than the freedom to let the story be whatever it needs to be in the moment, that reputation and the trust of the people in your life matter and the doors that open because of what you are known for outweigh the Neptunian fluidity that makes precision feel like a cage.

Free will is God’s great gift to mankind and it is the same thing that makes every implication of each placement in a chart a potential rather than a life sentence. If Neptune is touching your Mercury or your Sun or your Moon it does not make you a liar any more than Mars on your Ascendant makes you a violent person or Saturn conjunct your Venus makes you incapable of love. What it makes you is someone who has been handed a specific set of tendencies and pressures and gifts and given the complete freedom to decide what to do with them. Integrity of word and perspective for a Neptune person is not the same effortless default it might be for someone with a heavily Virgo or Capricorn chart, it is a chosen value that has to be returned to consciously and repeatedly. That daily decision to let the weight of your word mean something, to let the people in your life trust what you tell them, to build a reputation that reflects the actual depth and beauty of what Neptune gave you rather than the shadow of it, is in no way a limitation on the gift of creation, it is the full expression of it.

These are not just personality placements, they are the most physical parts of your chart that show us a lot about your body. How you wear life on the outside, how you show up, how you walk into a room and exactly where your body holds tension and how your nervous system registers threat or safety. If you have planets conjunct either of them, those planets are not just accessories to your personality, they are load-bearing walls of your physical existence and need to be honored just as much as the placements they’re influencing.

Map Your Soul

Most people treat their Sun like a personality quiz result, like “I’m a Scorpio, so I’m intense,” which is fine for some fun entertainment but the surface is not where the interesting astrology insights are found. The Sun is your life force and vitality, the light you are here to radiate outward and your physical body is the vehicle capable of doing the radiating. The Sun rules your physical presence, the Moon is your spiritual and emotional presence. It rules the heart, the spine and the quality of your energy throughout the day. It’s important to try to live in energetic alignment with what it represents for it to be able to run on something even close to its optimal settings. What works for one chart will work against another, and when you are fighting yourself and suppressing your energetic expression by living in opposition to what it is calling you toward, the body takes the hit in ways that are very specific and very readable if you know the language.

The AC angle, the Ascendant, is your rising sign. It sets the first house cusp and influences the way your body presents itself to the world as a first impression before you have said a single word. It’ll govern your physical appearance, height, face, your overall constitution, even the way your body holds itself under stress. Of course biological and hereditary factors will have the largest impact on these qualities, but the nuances are found in the chart. Because it’s set at the moment of first breath, some astrologers consider this to be the point of entry for the soul to enter and express itself during this incarnation. You can take that literally or symbolically but either way it is the body’s interface with the external world and it is enormously physical in ways that go far beyond “your rising sign affects your appearance.”

Because they’re both points of expression and communication that supersedes words, if they’re stifled or suppressed in energetic expression a blockage starts to build. It becomes harder and harder to push through this blockage the longer we allow it to build up, and it also becomes harder to keep pushing through our days as a result. If there is no planet influence by conjunction, consider the ruling planet and planets sitting in your first house. Consider the house the Sun is sitting in.

If there is a planet sitting directly on them within a few degrees this complicates the strategy for embodiment conditions. That planet becomes fused with them as we age and grow into our chart. A planet conjunct your Sun affects how your life force expresses, what depletes it, restores it, and what your physical body needs in order to feel whole. A planet conjunct your Ascendant shapes the face and how people perceive you. It also filters how you’re able to express and receive energy to and from the world around you.

Let’s get into some examples! Let’s get into some examples! Venus conjunct the Sun or Ascendant lends symmetry and curvy softness to the face and bodily proportions. There is an emphasis on the hips and thighs and lips, and their eye for detail and beauty is unmatched. Mars conjunct the Sun or Ascendant gives sharp and piercing intensity in the eyes and a directness in the physical energy. There is often an athletic quality or at least a readiness in the body like it is always slightly tensed for action. They are oriented toward the next thing that needs to be done or confronted.

Jupiter conjunct the Sun or Ascendant is typically expressed through a broad frame, a natural expansiveness in the body and the fun magnetic expression with others. It carries a warmth that people feel when you enter a room and it brings comfort to those who need a trustworthy face in a time of crisis. Saturn conjunct the Sun or Ascendant can give sharp defined bone structure and a serious quality to the face. RBF? Saturn is probably involved. It can create a wiry or lean build and a person who often looks older or more mature when they’re younger, and ages very well when they get older. Saturn is the planet of time and structure and it writes that into the face.

Because these planets need to express themselves through whatever platform they’re given they have an agenda. They are functional in the chart and in your body so when you repress them because you have been taught that the thing they represent is too much or not appropriate or not safe to embody, the body starts to absorb the pressure of that suppression and it will eventually make the situation known in ways you cannot ignore in order to live a happy and functional life. Mercury conjunct the Sun or AC creates a person whose nervous system and their identity are almost the same thing. Communication is not just what they’re good at, but what they are at a cellular level. Mercury rules the nervous system, the skin, movement, and quick transmissions of the body. When this placement is working well you have someone with quick wit and expressive hands and a face that moves a lot when they talk, a kind of Mercurial aliveness that other people find magnetizing even if they cannot consciously place why. When Mercury’s energy is suppressed through a belief that their words are wrong unwise if they have learned to be still and quiet when their whole system wants to move and scream that constipation of blocked energy shows up through the skin. Rashes and eczema, breakouts along the jawline or the face because the skin is Mercury’s organ and it will deliver the message that the mouth was not allowed to send. Restricted movement does the same thing because the nervous system starts to vibrate with unspent energy and the body gets itchy and restless and inflamed in ways that do not fully resolve until the movement and the expression get released for real.

Mars conjunct the AC or Sun is someone whose identity is inseparable from their drive and passion and their capacity for action, because Mars is the planet of will. If it’s conjunct the AC or Sun personal will is the whole name of the game and these people are built for initiation and for conflict when conflict is necessary. Righteous indignation is their bread and butter so if they’re suppressing their need for sustained physical effort that borders on relentlessness, the body holds all of that unexpressed Mars energy in the muscles and the head. So you get tension headaches and chronic shoulder and neck tightness and jaw clenching and migraines, because the planet of action and heat and assertion has to go somewhere and if it cannot go into your life it goes into your tissue. These Martian individuals are not made to be passive, the body itself tends to run hot and needs physical exertion as a metabolic necessity and not just a nice idea.

Money is associated with a few places in astrology. The main rulers are Venus and Saturn together, which tells you everything you need to know about what it is supposed to be and what it becomes when one of those energies is abandoned for the other. Venus rules the wealth itself. She oversees the flow of it, the way it moves through a community and makes things beautiful and alive, the patronage of art and culture and the simple act of giving because the giving itself creates something. Saturn rules the structures and the laws and regulations that are supposed to hold the system accountable and make it function fairly. Jupiter rules the banking and the expansion of it and Mercury rules the exchange, the commerce, the constant movement of value between people. Taurus rules over what we place value on at all, what makes one piece of paper worth $100 and another worth $0. When all of those energies are working harmoniously together money behaves the way it is supposed to. It circulates, grows things, it makes the world around it livable and enjoyable through mutual reciprocity. But it certainly feels as though Saturn is the only energy at the table for a lot of the population, and when that happens you get what we have right now: scarcity logic dressed up as economic theory and the hoarding impulse elevated to a virtue to admire and celebrate.

This is not a system that broke accidentally or drifted off course through negligence, the concentration of wealth into fewer and fewer hands while the structures that were supposed to distribute it were intentionally hollowed out from the inside. Saturn’s energy has been running the entire apparatus without Venus’ genuine love, without Jupiter’s generous charity, and without Mercury being able to introduce flow and movement. None of these important players seem to have any real seat at the table under the technocratic oligarchical system we’re pretending is a free market democracy. The result is an economy that technically functions while producing conditions that feel to most people living inside it like slow suffocation, where working harder produces diminishing returns and the gap between effort and reward has become so obscene that people have started to wonder whether the game was even possible for them to win it, and the answer that astrology has always had for that question is that a system built only on Saturnian scarcity and Plutonian consolidation of power was never going to produce anything other than exactly this. The Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in January of 2020 was the wrecking ball that slammed into our blindfolds and began cracking the foundation.

The la-te-da class has been playing dragon for long enough that most people have forgotten it was ever supposed to work differently. They’re jockeying for position to be the world’s fattest and unmovable dragon sitting on top of a pile that does nothing and grows nothing and serves no one including the dragon sitting on it.

None of this is groundbreaking. The texts that people claim to revere have been saying the same thing for thousands of years in language that could not be less ambiguous about it. A rich man has less of a chance of entering the kingdom of heaven than a camel has of fitting through the eye of a needle, the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil that leads people astray, that you cannot honor what is sacred with your wealth without giving it generously, that you cannot serve both God and money and convince yourself you are doing both. These are not obscure Biblical passages that require interpretation, they are bluntly direct and in this particular capitalistic moment they feel almost radical to say out loud even though they have been engrained into our psyches either through institutionalized religion or through our ancestral DNA.

Wealth is meant to be worn like a shoe. To have too little or none at all is genuinely painful and limits how far you can go and how much ground you can cover and whether or not you can get to where you are trying to reach at all. To have too much is equally impeding in a way that the la-te-da class (I refuse to call them “the elite class” or anything else flattering. If they can condescend to us as “the poors” I can throw my pinkie out and sarcastically call them the la-te-das) has never been honest about. Having such excess that is not circulated outside of a relatively small circle of people becomes heavy energetic weight and weight slows you down and eventually stops you entirely no matter how much fire you started with. That’s why they’re so desperate to extend this life and trap us into a new order that prevents reincarnation, not by reaching a state of holiness, but by stopping us all dead in our tracks to prevent them from ever experiencing the counterweight of their actions. The spiritual instruction that has existed across traditions and history in texts longer than any of us have been alive is not to hoard against future scarcity but to give away the excess with the genuine belief that what you need will always come back when you need it. There is no reward for the men who take the Lord’s name in vain to build personal empires from the tithes of people who can barely afford them instead of helping the communities that are hurting and hungry and waiting for the fertilizer to reach their side of the garden. It keeps everyone, including the hoarder, imprisoned inside Saturnian archetypes of scarcity and fear where there is never enough and the answer to never enough is always just more of the same thing that created the problem.

Neptune moving into Aries and conjoining Saturn there is reintroducing the question of what we actually believe wealth is for. What do we spend so much Martian energy toiling away to receive? Where are our spoils of the wars we fight for our corporate overlords? People can feel it deep in their bones and their bank accounts and their communities simultaneously, and the dissolution Neptune introduces to Saturn is not comfortable but it is necessary. You cannot build the next version of something without first seeing clearly what the current version has actually been doing, and a lot of people are seeing that very clearly right now in ways they were not able to two or three years ago.

The Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn in 2020 was where this particular spell began to crack, where the structures built to serve the la-te-da dragon class started becoming obvious to everyone. We can now see exactly what they were made of and who they were built for, and the Saturn Neptune conjunction in Aries in 2026 was the beginning of that reclamation. A slow and genuinely ugly process of rebuilding the relationship between resources and people the way it was always supposed to function, which is as fertilizer, spread wide, making everything around it grow.

That reclamation begins at the collective level but it also begins with you in your own relationship with resources and what you believe you deserve to receive and keep and give away. The patterns that the larger system runs on do not stay neatly outside of us, they get internalized. They show up as underearning that makes no sense given your actual abilities, as a complicated and loaded relationship with money that seems to predate anything that has happened in this lifetime, as the persistent sense that there is more available to you than you are currently accessing and not quite being able to see why. Astrology can not fix a broken economic system but it can show you exactly where your personal relationship with abundance has been shaped by fear and scarcity logic rather than genuine limitation, and that distinction clicks into place an understanding that opens up new energetic doors to walk through.

Mars in Aries is operating from pure instinct in the sign he rules. All the aggression and refusal to be slowed down or run off course is pouring out of Mars completely unfiltered and at full volume. But here’s Saturn with a hand that and grips them both by the throat. Saturn conjunct Mars in Aries does not extinguish the fire, it contaminates it by introducing doubt into the flame. It rages out of control or reduces to an ember from his whispers such as “if you move too fast you will lose what little ground you have, that the risk is not worth the cost”, that “you have been wrong before about your own readiness and look at what that cost you”, “you know you will fail so shut up and sit down” and that kind of fear friven internal restriction is how Saturn binds Martian energy without ever raising his voice. The scarcity logic that says resources are limited and you cannot afford to spend yourself on something that might not work out is enough to make anyone give up before they even attempt something.

The people around us who don’t have any understanding of where this kind of pressure is coming from are going to be looking for places and people to point th finger at to explain the intense anxiety it’s creating. This means there will likely be an unusual amount of posturing and jockeying for control and conversations that turn venomous without any real reason. Confrontations can come out of nowhere and feel disproportionate to whatever technically ‘started’ them. That is the easy outlet for the Saturn Mars conjunction to move through people who haven’t been able to work with the boundaries of their own passions and anger consciously, so your job today is to recognize it for what it is and not pick it up and own it.
If whatever is happening will not matter next week, next month, or even an hour from now, it does not matter at any point today either. That kind of discipline required to let it pass is exactly the kind of self-mastery this triple conjunction is here to both test and dole out punishments and rewards based on results, not intentions.

This energy does not respect hesitation and it does not reward performance, it rewards the person who knows exactly where they need to be and refuses to be moved or intimdated.

There is also a karmic dimension to this energy that can’t be ignored. The triple conjunction sits semisquare the North Node and sesquiquadrate the South Node. This minor aspect takes the tension of a semisquare at 45 degrees and adds the subconscious pressure it holds to a square (90) to arrive at the 135 degree sesquiquadrate and amplifies the driving need for resolution. The conflicts and battles (in all forms- it doesn’t have to be aggressive, just some hard problem solving) may feel like something that has come around before in a different form. Something older than this lifetime seeking resolution or accountability, and since it’s cut from that texture of familiarity and dread that past life and karmic material tends to carry, it’s is worth paying attention to and facing honestly rather than deflection or avoidance.

At approximately 6:45pm PST the Sun moves into Taurus and the atmosphere will shift with him. The collective energy will turn toward longevity and comfort and the kind of slow deliberate building that fixed Earth Taurus prefers over the burn-it-down-and-start-over approach Aries has been running all season. But anyone expecting the typical softness of Taurus season to arrive on schedule should be warned that the conditions are not set up for that right now. That’s because Venus, who rules Taurus and sets the tone for everything the Sun will experience there, is applying to conjunct Uranus at the anaretic degree of Taurus. She is volatile and electric and finishing something urgent before Uranus moves into Gemini next week, and there is nothing settled or comfortable for her with that kind of unpredictability. Thankfully this will be the last time she will form a conjunction with Uranus in her home sign, next year we can fully enjoy her peace again.

The Sun enters Taurus wholly unaspected and applying toward a square with Pluto, and that unaspected quality means is that the Sun has nothing else in the sky to connect to right now. There are no planets to bounce his light off of and warm, no aspects to channel his energy through. And for a planet whose entire function is to be seen and to radiate outward and to find himself in relationship to the world around him, being unaspected is an isolating condition that tests the ego’s independence and integrity. It is the astrological equivalent of walking into a room where you are hoping to impress and network in nd having no one look up or take notice when you speak.

Loneliness tends to arrive dressed as something shameful and we have been conditioned to keep it very quiet, to perform connection we don’t feel just to pass the time and to treat the hunger for genuine belonging as evidence that something is wrong with us personally, when the hunger itself is the most loving thing there is.

That shame is ancient and it runs deeper than this lifetime, because going hungry for connection has been a source of social fear since the beginning of communal human life. To be ostracized from the group was not a feeling to process but a physical threat to survival, and that primal fear of being cast out and going without the sustenance of community is written into our nervous systems at a level that bypasses logic entirely. It feels like a deep gnawing hunger to want physical touch and connection because if we did not have this we went hungry. This is why loneliness can feel so catastrophic even when nothing has technically happened and why we so quickly turn it into a verdict about our own worth rather than recognizing it as a failure of the structures around us to show up the way they are supposed to.

Uranus moves into Gemini next week for the first time since the 1940s and it’s going to bring a fundamental reinvention of what community looks like and how it functions. The degraded version we have been operating with for decades is not meeting the actual needs of people living in this moment in history and the gap between the community villiage we are supposed to have and the one most people are actually dealing with has been highlighted by the Chironic New Moon.

Our physical body is holding all of this whether you are consciously aware of it or not, and with Mars ruling this much of the sky it means the energy has nowhere to go but into your muscles and your jaw and the back of your skull. The single most useful thing you can do for yourself today and through this triple conjunction’s peak tomorrow is move because the body needs it to complete the stress cycle it has been running. It cannot do that from the couch or any of the other go to places we cocoon in to decompress. Tai chi and lymphatic exercise are super ideal right now because they move the energy through the body's drainage system without adding more intense physical activation on top of what is already a combustible internal atmosphere. The slower repetitive deliberate flow of it working with the nervous system instead of against it will really help release all of that today. If you need something harder and more cathartic then run, cycle, or do something that lets that Martian fire burn clean instead of smoldering in your connective tissue and looking for an argument to attach itself to.

There are seven bodies in Aries right now which is not just a once in a lifetime event, but a once in a millennia event.. Two millenia in fact. Adding to that kind of pressure, the Sun and Moon are exact conjunction with Chiron so the fertile and most intentional moment in the lunar cycle is pressing itself directly into the wound. It would feel easier, inspiring even for it to be placed an arm’s length away, like gently approaching it from a safe distance. But the tight 30’ conjunction placed it right on top of such a vulnerable and powerful energy and forces us to either rise up to meet the evolution Chiron expects from us or descend deeper into our shadows and a larger mess of our own making.

Chiron in Aries is the wound of existing, it hurts to be seen, and the thought of initiating something new feels impossible and shame inducing. It holds the wound of wanting to advocate and win badly but being afraid deep down that the wanting itself is what’s wrong with you, not the current state of things.

The full implications of the choices and actions (or inaction) taken today will become obvious under October’s Full Aries Moon which is conjunct Neptune at the apex of a Kite with Sun trine Pluto and Uranus forming the base. Vesta will have moved to conjunct Chiron at the end of Aries, taking today’s New Moon’s position. The implications of needing to invest in ourselves and our healing to become a more whole version of ourselves to achieve our dreams are obvious. Vesta’s standards for perfection and service are very high, and her harsh punishments for failure are not to be taken lightly.

Mercury is currently pressed between Mars and Neptune, so your mind is moving fast and your instincts are screaming louder than your logic right now. This is helpful if you’ve already laid out a solid plan for yourself because this stellium isn’t going to reward you for slowing down to analyze your way into confidence. The direction that scares you a little is the one the chart is pointing at, and Aries energy in general does not wait for conditions to be perfect before it moves. It’s leap before you look energy because it trusts in your ability to handle whatever is on the other side. It may not feel good to commit to the direction and figure out the rest on the way, but right now nearly the entire sky is structured to support exactly that kind of forward momentum. This is solidified by the Aries Full Moon in October being at the exact position Mercury sits today. Saturn’s energy in Aries isn’t exactly a source of confidence building or inspiration promotion as he sits conjunct Mars and restricting his abilities. He wants a carefully laid plan and time invested before he feels comfortable bringing stability to enforce our actions and goals. Mars, especially in Aries, is impulsive and much prefers to let the end results speak for the means and the motivations. When Saturn and Mars clash fears rise. Fear of violence, bodily injury, failure, crashing and burning, and other similar emotional restrictions can creep up and stall us out.

Saturn wants receipts and Saturn in Aries is going to want to see whetherr you are actually doing the work or if you have been making it look like the work while avoiding addressing the thing that matters. Are you building something real and lasting from this pain or have you let it settle into an identity to carry around because at least the wound is familiar and at least you know how to be that version of yourself? Sometimes those two things can look so similar from the inside that we delude ourselves into stagnancy and Saturn’s job right now is to help you tell them apart.

Don’t let anyone break your focus or determination. That’s the test this energy is setting for you. Avoid the slow quiet erosion of your attention by everything and everyone that pulls you away from the life you are actually trying to build at all costs. Put the blinders on for the next 2 weeks and drive forward with your goals.

Mars ruling so many planets can spell out aches and pains. Migraines, headaches, head injury, brain injury, jaw tension, tmj, extreme sinus pressure, and muscle tension/tears are common under a stellium like this one. Let’s dive into some of my favorite and least favorite aspects to see from both Mother and Father to their Child’s chart!

The aspect I love most in any parent-child overlay, for mothers and fathers both, is their Moon trine or sextile the child’s Moon. When there’s an ease of lunar connection between parent and child there is an emotional fluency that doesn’t need to be explained or earned. They just get each other naturally. That doesn’t mean they’re identical on all positions, but their emotional rhythms are naturally compatible. Situations that could understandably spiral into a bigger issue with a square or opposition simply doesn’t materialize here. We don’t have to deal with the standoffs, misread signals, or conversations that go sideways because one person isn’t understanding what the other person is trying to say and filling in the gaps with assumptions. A lot gets communicated through a look, a tone of voice, a shared and loaded silence… and that kind of communication is felt not intellectualized. It takes a strong Moon-Moon aspect to facilitate the unspoken, and that kind of connection is genuinely rare and worth appreciating when you have it.

Examples: Aries Moon Trine Sagittarius Moon, Cancer Moon sextile Virgo Moon. There is a 5° orb of connection here. so not all Cancer Moons will sextile Virgo Moons. A 11° Cancer Moon will sextile a 14° Virgo Moon, but not a 17° Moon. Look for shared elements - fire to fire, earth to earth, water to water, air to air. Look for compatable elements- water and earth, fire and air. Then look to degrees to ensure connection.

For the mother specifically, I love to see her Venus or Juno making a soft aspect to anywhere in the child’s chart. A trine or sextile here means the love she feels actually translates properly. The child receives it with warmth. There’s a natural tenderness the two of them can access without too much effort. I’ll work with a square or opposition too, as long as it isn’t hitting a malefic or a generational planet in the child’s chart. A hard Venus or Juno aspect still carries devotion, it just means the way she expresses love and the way the child needs to receive it require some conscious translation and boundaries on her part. That’s workable with mindfulness. What I want to avoid is that friction landing somewhere that amplifies it into something much more damaging like competition or resentment.

What concerns me more than a hard aspect, though, is no aspect at all. When a mother's Moon and Venus make no contact with her child's chart, emotional intimacy is genuinely hard to come by for both of them. There's a lack of connection that creates a natural bridge between her inner world and theirs so one has to be intentionally built. She can love them completely and still feel like she can't quite reach them or express it the right way. They can feel her love and still feel fundamentally unseen or disconnected from her all the same. It's one of the lonelier dynamics I see in these charts because neither person is doing anything wrong to cause the distance.

But my absolute least favorite to see in mother-child chart is the Hades Moon connection. Moon conjunct, opposite, or square Pluto. This is a heavy relationship connection under any context, and when it’s showing up in synastry between a mother and child the pressure is relentless. The expectations are impossible to meet because they keep moving the goalposts and encouraging more and more change and growth. The mother often loves deeply and genuinely, but that love can come wrapped up in control and tied with a bow of criticism that can tighten so much it suffocates the intimacy. The child internalizes it as never quite being enough for anyone no matter what they do. When exacerbated by Chiron’s prominence in a chart ensures that the wound is felt deep and it runs long. I talk about this one frankly because it deserves to be handled with honesty, care, and with full validation of the experiences it creates and the patterns it can prevent. It can be turned into something powerful and protective with awareness and love.

For fathers the aspect I’m always hoping to find is his Jupiter in any aspect to the child’s personal planets or angles. I mean any aspect. Conjunction, trine, sextile, square, opposition: I’ll take it all. When a father’s Jupiter touches the child’s chart, something expansive gets activated in them. He becomes a source of belief whether he’s consciously trying to be or not. His presence stretches something open. I’ve seen this show up as the father who genuinely meant it when he said his kid could do anything. He takes on the archetype of someone whose enthusiasm is contagious. The one whose absence, when it happened, left a very specific kind of hole. Jupiter between a father and child is a gift in whatever form it arrives as long as his own isn’t debilitated in such a way that it becomes selfish or self indulgent.

I also love to see his Saturn making a sextile or trine to personal planets, or a conjunction to the child's Sun, Descendant, or Jupiter specifically. Saturn from a father, when it's placed well, is one of the most stabilizing things I can find in a synastry chart. It becomes the child's internalized sense of structure and self-discipline. The standard they hold themselves to that actually lifts them rather than crushes them. That is Saturn at its best and a father is one of the most natural vessels for it. The child is able to become a self sufficient and confident adult, set up with the security and supervision needed to transition without setbacks their peers may experience.

But Saturn from a father placed badly is a different story entirely, and I take it seriously. When his Saturn is conjunct, square, or opposite the child’s Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Ascendant, IC, or nodal axis, remediation must be done to prevent suffocating expectations. This energy shapes how the child relates to authority, their own worth, and to what they believe they’re allowed to want from life. It can manifest as a father who was withholding, critical, emotionally unavailable, or simply not present in the ways that they were needed. The child often carries it as a voice that fills them with fears that hold them back from their dreams and sometimes even their needs being met. The nodes add their own layer of complexity: Saturn on the nodal axis from the father can lock in karmic patterns the child spends years trying to understand. How all of this plays out depends on the child’s own chart of course.

And then there’s Mars. Dad’s Mars in a hard aspect to anything in the child’s chart a connection to be watched carefully due to the potential of violence. It can show up as volatility, a home where the child learned to read the room before they could read a book, as anger that felt unpredictable or outsized, or a father whose energy was simply too much and too fast due to emotional immaturity and an inability to self-regulate. Even if the father is not an aggressive person, this aspect generates a kind of pressure between he and the child that tests his patience to the limit. It’s fantastic for a father who takes on the role of a sports coach or other Martian heavy activities that provide a safe and healthy outlet for the friction.

These difficult synastry connections don't spell out certain doom, but they do give us a fork in the road where choices need to be made to keep things flowing in the direction we want them to.

Most people think relationship astrology is something you only do for romantic or business partnerships. Are we compatible? Why do we fight? Where is this going? Is it going anywhere at all? And yes, astrology is extraordinary for getting those questions answered. But I want to tell you about the readings that actually make me catch my breath, goosebumps on my arms when I give them because they’re so profound: My parent-child readings. They’re ones where someone finally understands their child, or finally understands the parent they had a strained relationship with, or finally gets to see the pattern that’s been running their family for generations.

What a parent-child reading actually is

We read four charts together during our 75 minute session. I do suggest getting your natal chart done first, then coming back after some time to digest the information. We’ll read the parents in the context of their role of nurturer and caregiver, then the child’s. We then move on to the synastry, and the composite. Together, they tell a complete story of a relationship.

You counted all their little toes and fingers to see how perfect they were made when they were born, but did you know your child’s natal chart set at the moment of first breath also shows you how they’re built on a metaphysical level?
We can see how they learn, how they process and regulate their emotions, how they need to receive love and the ways they’ll show it, and most importantly what they came here to do and how you can best support them. We’ll also look into where they’re going to need the most patience from you.

We can see their learning style. Their chart will reveal whether they absorb information visually, need to move through it physically, or require emotional context before anything sticks. This is especially helpful for homeschooling parents! We can take a look at how they take in information and how they express it back, which are surprisingly often different styles from each other. We can see what actually motivates them because standard reward systems don’t work equally on every child. A kid who seems indifferent to praise might light up for an allowance, autonomy, or some 1 on 1 time. We can see their emotional language, not just what they feel, but how they need those feelings to be received and responded to. It’s a real game changer when we take out the guessing and start applying what works. We don’t use the chart to manipulate or trick them into compliance, we shift our approaches and our understanding of their intentions.

Your chart shows us what you came in with, what you’re still working through, what you naturally lead with as a parent. We talk honestly about accountability and the ways to break out of any cycles within your family dynamic you’re trying to break out of. We highlight all your strengths and talents and find the best available methods to share these with love.

The synastry chart shows us how the two individual charts interact. I like to explain synastry to people as if it’s the weather outside. Your house and neighborhood doesn’t change. But the way you experience being home and stepping out in the world together depends entirely on the conditions between you and another person. It’s a lot easier to be happy when the skies are blue and the temperature feels perfect. You can still find reasons to smile in a thunderstorm, but it can also wear thin after a while if you’re not prepared with rainboots or an umbrella. Same people, same charts, different weather. The synastry shows us what your weather tends to be when you’re together and why, and what to do when the forecast looks rough.

The composite chart is something different entirely. It’s calculated by taking the midpoint of both birth charts and creating a new one that represents the life of the relationship itself. Where the you and the me becomes we. How others know you as a duo. The personality the two of you fall into together that neither of you has alone. That’s the composite, and it tells us a lot of rich information about the bond and how it manifests in the real world.

There’s one more layer that most astrologers skip entirely that reveals so much! Once we have the composite read and understood, we move on to look at which person is activating its energies. We can see which planet or point from which person’s chart is lighting up each point located in the relationship’s composite chart. This matters more than it might sound. Jupiter conjunct the Sun in your composite looks like pure expansion and warmth on paper. But if it’s being activated by one person’s Mars by conjunction and the other’s Uranus by square, the flavor shifts completely. The energy is still there, but it’s running hotter, faster, and with way more friction than the aspect alone would suggest. Knowing who is activating what and how is the difference between reading a relationship and actually understanding it.

If your child has been struggling in a traditional school environment and labeled difficult, distracted, or has fallen behind, their chart will almost always show you why the environment or time period was the mismatch and not your kid. When you know these things, you stop trying to reach your child through the door that was never theirs to begin with and setting you both up for failure in the process.

The uncomfortable and important layer nobody talks about

Your child’s chart will show you the generational patterns that landed in their lap through you. Not because you failed or didn’t try hard enough, but because that’s how lineage works. The unprocessed grief, attachment wounds, and survival strategies that got passed down so insidiously you didn’t know you were carrying them until you watched your child reach for the same coping mechanisms at seven years old that you were still untangling at thirty-five. The charts makes those become laid bare, finally visible in black and white so it can be addressed. It shows you where the cycle is trying to complete itself and gives you the chance to interrupt it consciously rather than perpetuate it further accidentally.

It shows you your own blind spots as a parent. There of course will be places where your chart and your child’s chart create friction together. But if you keep interpreting it as a problem with them when it’s a pressure point in you, it’ll never stop creating division. A parent with an unexamined need for control raising a child with a Sagittarius stellium who was born to roam is a recipe for disaster if the parent doesn’t realize where their energy and expectation ends and where their child’s natural drives that cannot be encouraged out of them begin.

We can see the blind spots your own parents had with you. How validating it is to see an emotionally avoidant parent and the child with Venus conjunct the Moon who needs more tenderness than the parent knows how to give. These are all patterns and patterns can be worked with and even changed once you can see them.

This reading gives you the chance to stop reacting and start responding intentionally.

If your parent is gone

You don’t even need a birth time.

When a birth time is unavailable because records don’t exist and can’t be obtained, we can still read the individual charts and synastry. The planetary placements alone, even without house information, still carry enormous meaning when we have your birth time and can see which houses they activated for you.

We look at how their planets connect to yours and we talk about what you remember. We’ll validate the patterns, the moments, and the dynamic that kept showing up between you no matter how hard either of you tried to change them. Often what the chart reflects back is something you already knew but had never had language for. It’s a relief for a lot of my clients to hear them said out loud back to them.

Grief has a particular affinity for unfinished things. It can’t help but stick on every conversation you didn’t get to have. Acknowledgment that never came. The version of them you finally understand now that you’re the age they were when everything went sideways. Astrology is one of the mediums able to hold space for all of that. It doesn’t wave a magic wand and make grief disappear, but it can give it shape and sometimes shape is what lets us finally start to move and release.

Just because you’re right doesn’t mean you have to engage with it and get the satisfaction of being told you are.

Just walk away and be right by yourself.

Wanting to be both loud and right is an ego trap. The truth always comes out in the end, and you don’t need to step in as a conduit for that energy.

You know how many people across my healing journey I’ve left behind and come across and kept moving past that are evil, hateful and monstrous? More than I care to talk about, and they caused damage so devastating that I am still recovering from some of it. If I allowed myself to hate them I’d be consumed by it, if I allowed myself to devote my time and energy to justice or revenge I’d never get anything else done. I’d be right, and I’d even be successful in some of the matters I’d pursue.

But I know that time and energy are FINITE even if they seem infinite and constantly replenishing. Eventually both run out. Don’t waste it on people who are dead wrong.

To love and to be loved. That is precious and irreplaceable. They cannot freely flow in and STAY when consumed by rage or a drive to be right about something all the time. EVEN IF YOU’RE RIGHT, read it again. Stop trying to prove yourself because at the end of the day, what are you going to do with it? You’re giving up your time and energy thinking about and fantasizing about it.

The hardest part of what I’m describing is that it requires a kind of invisible discipline. Nobody sees you walk away and validates it. Nobody gives you credit for the hard restraint. You just silently carry the truth and keep moving. That’s a lonelier road in some ways than the one where you fight every battle. But that’s where faith comes in. A connection with something bigger than this lifetime alone. God, ancestors, past and future versions of yourself throughout time, whatever you quantify it as is irrelevant. Just that there is a belief in something more that ties it all together in the end allows room for rewards and acknowledgement that surpasses this material space.

When someone says “I match energies, so you decide how we act” they’re just framing passivity as power. Think about what’s really happening in that scenario for a second… you’ve just handed the wheel over to whoever. And it’s most used in an attempt to regain power in situations where we’re powerless to “teach them a lesson.” But all you’ve done is made your character conditional. Depending on the day, on the person, the mood they brought with them, you become something different. Reactivity is the best way to remove your power and control, and mirroring is reactive. You don’t have the time or space to reflect and respond. The person who threw you off at 9am now owns a piece of who you went on to be at 10am. Once you’ve chained enough of those moments together, eventually you look up one day and you barely recognize yourself.

People misunderstand what a boundary actually is. A boundary is something you built from the inside out, from knowing who you are so completely that outside weather stops restructuring your interior. It’s a line you draw where you say this is something I will not tolerate, and if it occurs I am no longer involving myself in the equation. Matching chaos with chaos is just chaos wearing your face in a codependent loop. Allowing your boundaries to be violating and pressuring someone to change so they stop, no matter how you go about it, is codependency. It’s not always capitulation and begging, sometimes it comes in the form of resentment and aggression matching.

But here’s the most important part to remember: it doesn’t even work. When you mirror someone’s bad behavior back at them, they will never be able to see themselves in it. Never. The ego doesn’t operate that way. The person who’s cold to you and then receives coldness back won’t for a second think, “Oh, now I understand how I made them feel.” They’ll think you’re cold.

If these people had any capacity for self reflection or empathy they wouldn’t be acting like this in the first place. The person who’s rude and gets rudeness returned won’t have a sudden revelation about their character. They’ll have a new grievance about yours. You become their villain. You hand them a story where they’re the victim and you’re the problem, all the while eroding the version of yourself you actually wanted to be. You never held up a mirror, just gave them ammunition.

Water takes the shape of whatever container holds it which sounds like adaptability, but it stops being a virtue when the container is a garbage can. Mars is approaching the anaretic degree of Pisces which not only holds the pressure of the last degree of the sign, but of the entire zodiac. There’s an incredible amount of urgency and unfinished business but Pisces doesn’t give much clarity or power to Mars. It holds the energy of the final surge of regret and inspiration that hits on your deathbed during a moment of spiritually connected clarity. Mars is about to cross into Aries tomorrow afternoon (12:36 PST) and come into exact conjunction with Neptune 3 days later. Mercury is conjunct Pallas Athena this week and next week enters Aries. Once the Moon hits Aries on the 15th we will have six planets in Aries, seven if you count Chiron. The sky is stacking fire on fire and every bit of that energy is going to be looking for somewhere to go.

What’s yet to be determined is whether you’re going to be the one directing it or allow yourself to be at the mercy of whoever provokes you first. Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries can dissolve boundaries before we even notice they’re gone, even make you feel spiritually justified in reacting. His illusion is able to dress up pure reactivity in the language of righteous action. That’s the trap! When everything around you is accelerating and sharpening while six or seven planetary bodies are all pushing forward at once, being in control of yourself isn’t passively running on normal autopilot, it takes intention and work.

The mirroring philosophy has another cost that goes even deeper than reputation. It keeps you entangled with people you don’t align with. Whatever you’re feeding back, you’re staying in orbit around. Real spiritual detachment doesn’t require you to send anything back at all. It takes the faith and willingness to leave the frequency entirely. You withdraw because you know something better is in store and protect your peace by refusing to make what someone gave you your point of departure, rather than by giving them a measured dose of it in return.

Real influence that actually shifts people to change comes from being so settled in yourself that your presence has weight to inspire. It’s the person who doesn’t rise to take the bait. Who doesn’t clock your drama or return your temperature. Power comes from being genuinely somewhere else, anchored in something people can feel but can’t bottle and sell. It’s earned over time. You can’t manufacture that through matching anyone else. You build it by refusing to let what’s around you become what’s inside you.

If you want to mirror something, mirror the person with patience and kindness that seems almost supernatural. Study what holds them there. Find the person who was genuinely wronged and stayed graceful and in control and abundant. Ask yourself what they’re built from.

The universe does correct people. It does, and with a precision that’s almost cruel in how perfectly timed it is. But it can only do that work when you get out of the way. If you keep inserting yourself as the instrument of someone else’s lesson, you’re not being spiritually mighty. You’re just being impatient and lacking faith. You’re telling the universe you don’t trust it to handle this without your help. It doesn’t need a middleman. What it needs is for you to stay clean and whole. To move through what happened without becoming it yourself.

Move like someone who knows they’re being watched by something larger than the room. Don’t perform for approval or shrink away from judgment. Just live at a standard that doesn’t shift based on who showed up and what they brought with them. That’s how you stand on your real character. Character, unlike a mirror, is something nobody can take from you.

Get the Map to Your Soul

As the Northern Hemisphere tips toward the sun in March when our spring begins and Aries is roaring in, the southern hemisphere is tipping away from it. The days are shortening. The leaves are turning. The air is cooling as autumn is ushered in. Mars ruled Aries brings one last blaze of energy before things slow down. The Sun reaches his exaltation in Aries, the sign where he burns brightest, and gets one final push before the world pulls inward. That fiery cardinal energy is exactly what autumn looks like when the trees change up in red and gold before they let everything go.

Then comes Libra to usher in the southern hemisphere spring. The days are lengthening again and as light and dark find their balance at the equinox, Libra’s scales couldn’t be a more fitting symbol for that moment. We find balance again as the world is coming back to life. How beautiful that the two Venus signs Taurus and Libra are associated with the bright natural beauty of springtime blooms. There’s a distinctly Libran feeling when the world begins to soften. Color is coming back. You want to be outside, to connect, to open up again after the closed months.

Capricorn lands at the height of summer below the equator and the archetype holds in a different but equally resonant way. This is midsummer so there are long and brutal days that require hard work to keep the crops moving toward successful harvest. It’s the time of year when you have to be dedicated enough to making the things you’re working toward happen under a relentless sun. Plus there’s something deeply Saturnian about the dying tradition of summer school breaks spent with grandparents while parents continue working. Elders who have already done the hard work and now get to sit in the shade of the legacy they built while the next generation comes to them. Capricorn’s archetype is deeper than the lean scarcity of the cold. True legacy is built from what you constructed while the conditions were right because you had the discipline and foresight to do it when it mattered most.

Finally, Cancer at the Winter Solstice in the southern hemisphere might be the most perfect alignment of all in my opinion. It carries the longest night and the coldest point of the year. Cancer is the sign associated with home, nostalgia, and protection. The impulse to pull inward and tend to the people closest to you is the same globally everywhere winter lands hard. You nurture each other and hunker down until the storm passes. The crab retreating into its shell isn’t a metaphor in the southern hemisphere,it’s just a frosty Tuesday morning in July in Melbourne.

And this is exactly why nothing in astrology is one size fits all. The same planets in the same houses aspected the same way can express themselves completely differently depending on the person born with them. Nuance is what makes astrology work. The southern hemisphere didn’t break the wheel and render it unusable, it just reminded us how alive it actually is. It’s the same clock with the same stories, just a different opportunity to express those rich archetypal nuances.

In my New Moon article I wrote

Have we been a present and active member within our relationships or capitulated into becoming a people pleaser? Are we keeping the peace, or does avoidance just feel easier than confrontation? This New Moon has drawn a clean line between truth and tolerance. We’re not just refining how we love, but why.

That New Moon sat at the apex of a YOD with Neptune and Uranus at the base. The same pattern had pressed down on the September eclipse a month prior, only now the energy had shifted from volatile escalation toward genuine renewal. Venus, ruling that lunation, stood completely alone in the sky. She was wholly unaspected with no outside influence, just a mirror held up to whatever we feel when external validation goes quiet. Were you left with a sinking feeling, or did you actually feel safe within your commitments? These last 6 months have solidified that one way or another.

At the time Mercury was hours into his retrograde preshadow, setting a slow-burning fuse. He stationed retrograde at 6° Sagittarius, the exact degree where asteroid Juno sat that morning, and pulled us back through our assumptions, our half-conversations, and the things we’d been meaning to say. Now the Full Moon it culminates to is just a week out of his postshadow. In last year’s Mercury retrograde article I wrote

Between October and all the way through April, the Mutable axis will be under an incredible amount of pressure. We’ll have our ability to adapt without dissolving entirely tested. Mercury retrogrades first in Sagittarius and then Pisces, and each overlaps with Jupiter’s retrograde. (Mercury start- Nov 9, Jupiter start- Nov 11. Then next cycle Mercury end- March 20, Jupiter end-March 11) October and November are added for Mercury’s pre and post shadow period which will mark the space this prolonged cycle begins to filter in and out. When both rulers of all four Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) are retrograde, there’s no choice but to examine exactly what mutability MEANS. How far are we bending to avoid breaking in the winds of change?

The air itself feels transitional. Plans and goals shift, priorities evolve with our sense of self, and as a result, timelines blur. Mutables are built for weather like this, and we must retain our sense of self through all the change. Meaning is a moving target and truth evolves with perspective. This will be a season of shape-shifters, translators, and reward those who hold paradox with grace.

Another fascinating observation about this retrograde cycle is the way it threads seamlessly not only into the next Jupiter ruled cycle in the Spring, but also the retrograde next fall. This year Mercury retrograde ends at 20°42′ Scorpio, and on October 24th, 2026 Mercury retrograde begins at 20°58′ Scorpio. Scorpio’s themes and lessons found in transformation, secrecy, and reclamation simply can’t be completed in a single cycle. They demand time and in this case, repetition.

Conversations that uncovered hidden motives or unspoken feelings this cycle will come back up for review. The bonds we formed or tested this fall come under renewed scrutiny next year. The truth of the things done in the dark that forced themselves into the light won’t quietly fade away into memory and immediate acceptance. They’ll demand integration or closure. The 2026 retrograde cycle picks up where this year leaves off, giving us a tangible timeline of growth and resilience.

Next year’s Mercury retrograde next October coincides with Venus transiting Cazimi at 0° Scorpio. This is rare and meaningful synchronicity, given the amount of focus on relationships and values this cycle has. The breakups, revelations, windfalls, and commitments (or feelings around these themes) we experience this year are seeds of the next chapter. Confessions today could reverberate and come back around as questions of loyalty tomorrow.

So this is just just a milestone along this journey, not a finishline. This Venus ruled theme continues and eventually culminates in a day of cazimi illumination within her sign of detriment. The Libra Full Moon at 12° is exactly where asteroid Karma sat on the day of the New Moon. The words that have been spoken and the decisions that were made are finding their way toward a verdict tonight.

The scales don’t lie, and you can’t afford to keep ignoring the deficit.

The Full Moon will be at exactly 7:11 pm PST.

It forms a square to Jupiter in Cancer, and that square creates a major aspect pattern called a t-square with Jupiter sitting at the apex. This is the point through which all the pressure from the base is released and expressed. Everything that has been building in our relationships: our sense of fairness or need for justice to obtain some, our willingness to be honest and the weight of the truth we’ve discovered.. all of it now runs directly into Jupiter. In Cancer he’s been exactly what I warned he would do. Amplifying. Inflating his need to protect the homeland. Hardening the lines between "us" and "them."

Jupiter in Cancer tends to justify the means by the end goal. He wraps defensiveness in the language of protection and calls it morality. People running this energy unconsciously are going to double down hard right now. They’ll be digging their heels deeper into their side, their family, their tribe, their version of the story. The instinct to circle the wagons and shut out anything that challenges the narrative is going to feel like loyalty but it’s fear masquerading as steadfast belief in the way it’s always been. Watch for it in yourself too, because Cancer’s shadow is emotional and nostalgic. It doesn’t always look like aggression because it comes in as comfort. Sometimes it looks like refusing to let anyone new in to protect that sense of comfort. Sometimes it’s an emotional decision that the world has already shown you enough and closing yourself off to empathy.

But that ignores the deeper work this Full Moon wants from us. With the Sun in Aries, bold and ready to rage forth into something new and the Moon in Libra centered in the shared social contracts we enter in order to keep order we need to be asking ourselves what it actually means to protect something. Jupiter in Cancer at its best builds genuine sanctuary. It generously feeds and cares for people. It creates conditions where the vulnerable can grow. So if Jupiter is going to inflate your instinct toward home and security, let it inflate your capacity to deepen your roots rather than patrol your borders. Expand your table to accommodate more people. Strengthen the relationships that are actually helping you grow. That is how you work with this energy, not allowing it to work against you.

When the Libra New Moon opened this cycle in October, the Supreme Court’s new term had just begun and the machinery around birthright citizenship quietly started turning toward what became today’s arguments. That same month, the Trump administration launched what they called “Freaky Friday,” a program targeting unaccompanied immigrant children, some as young as 14, in federal custody. ICE contacted these kids directly, pressuring them to withdraw their pending immigration applications, waive protections under federal trafficking law, and self-deport. They were warned that staying meant ICE detention when they turned 18. That family members could face consequences if the children didn’t agree to leave. These were children. That is what was being seeded under a Libra New Moon, a lunation that rules justice, fairness, and how we treat one another.

Now we arrive at the Full Moon and Trump attended today’s Supreme Court oral arguments on birthright citizenship, making him the first sitting president to sit in on arguments at the nation’s highest court. The 14th Amendment, which has guaranteed citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil for over 150 years, is being argued while the man trying to dismantle it sat in the room. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees are having their food assistance cut to as little as $7 a month starting today. The vulnerable, again, absorbing the cost of someone else’s definition of security.

This is the USA’s Jupiter return. Jupiter was in Cancer during the Immigration Act of 1907, under Japanese internment, with the Bracero Program’s contradictions, and now because he entered square Neptune in Aries that same Cancer pattern is holding. Exaggerated national defensiveness disguised as care. A country that says it values protection while deciding in real time, who deserves to be protected and who should be displaced from their homes, sometimes permanently. If that makes you angry, good. Anger in response to injustice is not a problem to manage because it’s righteous indignation. It’s telling you what you actually care about in this world. The question is what you do with it.

The Libra Moon’s ruler is Venus and she is in her home sign of Taurus right now. She’s under serious pressure from her square with Juno in Aquarius and applying conjunction with Ceres, plus moving toward a square with Pluto. Venus in Taurus wants stability and to tend to what’s real and lasting. But Pluto doesn’t let us hold on to things that need to go, and the square to Juno has us continuing the needling question of is any of this even real or am I wasting my time? She’s considering what’s mine. Ours. Our people. Our borders. People unconsciously processing this will be clinging. Possessive in relationships and treating love like a resource that can run out and hoarding it accordingly. Financially, the fear of losing what they have will make them grip tighter exactly when they need to let something transform.

With Ceres moving into the picture the question of nourishment becomes impossible to ignore. Ceres is the archetype of the mother willing to do anything to get her baby back. She oversees our ability to gain sustenance through investment of seed to fruit in agriculture and as such she rules what we feed and what we allow to starve. Look at what’s happening globally today and tell me that’s not a live feed of this transit. Children in federal custody pressured to sign away their own protections. Refugees having food assistance gutted. Venus applying to Ceres while squaring the planet of death and transformation in the sign of rebellion and social revolution isn’t going to take this laying down. Mercury is inconjunct the Moon today and still in his post-shadow in the sign of his detriment. He's functional but deeply uncomfortable and anything but graceful. The inconjunct brings a subconscious connection between the two planets that feels gnawing without understanding why until we search for deeper understanding. This feels like we’re being forced to process everything that’s happened since October so we can position ourselves for the ending this October. What was said during the retrograde, the things that finally came out, the conversations that shifted, they still don't quite sit right. There's residue from everything that was said and the thing that was meant and the gap between them that nobody quite knows how to close yet. People running this blind are going to over-explain or go completely silent, neither of which closes the loop. The justices today will hear and decide on the administration's interpretation of the 14th Amendment, questioning arguments built on the worst manifestations of Jupiter’s energy in Cancer. Today isn’t the day to mistake articulation for resolution. Saying the right words isn't the same as doing the thing. And if a conversation still doesn't feel complete, it probably isn't. Sit with that instead of forcing a conclusion that isn't ready yet.

The Sun and Moon are both in tense minor aspects to Uranus, a sesquiquadrate and a semi-square. These are more of an irritant than a detonation, but still the friction they create may be hard to name but it’s impossible to ignore. Uranus disrupts what the Libra Moon is trying to balance and what the Aries Sun is trying to assert. People trying to process this energy without understanding where it’s coming from are prone to blowing up something stable out of restlessness, or dig their heels in so hard against change that they miss the opening entirely. Try your best to stay present when things get uncomfortable rather than either blowing the table over or pretending nothing is shifting. Something is shifting so don’t fight it. The ruler of the Sun is Mars and he is tightly conjunct Pallas Athena in Pisces and otherwise completely unaspected. Like Venus at the New Moon, Mars is operating in pure, undiluted isolation. Pallas is strategy, pattern recognition, the capacity to see the whole board before anyone else has picked up their pieces. Mars is will and drive and the impulse to act. In the wrong hands, this is the energy of calculated manipulation. The person who has been quietly watching, clocking everyone’s weaknesses, and is now ready to use what they know. Pisces makes it harder to see coming because it doesn’t look like aggression. It looks like intuition. It looks like a kind suggestion. Watch for people in your life making moves that feel spiritually justified but are actually just strategic. The ends do not sanctify the means just because someone prayed about it first. In a lot of ways Saturn’s transit through Pisces had a lot of the same archetypes in the story of The Picture of Dorian Gray. All the ugly karma that’s been accumulating in the background made the portrait age and wear the toll of his sins in the attic while his beautiful face in the mirror stayed smooth. We carry the weight of patterns, past lives, and inherited wounds even if we can’t see them. The distortion of other lifetimes blurs the reflection in this one. Some people used that fog deliberately to let it give them cover. They did everything in their power and control to keep that attic locked tight. But Saturn ripped the veil down, allowing us to see clearly the accumulation of all things. Family secrets got exposed. The people we put on pedestals, the “elites”, stars, the institutions we were told to trust had their portraits come down from the attic for public consumption whether they were ready or not. Aries picks up right where that exposure left off and asks the harder question: now what? So let’s talk about accountability. And why some people will do absolutely anything to avoid it.

True integrity is choosing to do the right thing even when no one is looking and there would be no consequences that would follow if you didn’t. Accountability is the willingness to own the gap between who you say you are and what you actually did when someone else bears witness or is impacted by your choices. There may not be immediate consequences if you do not take accountability for your actions. There’s not always a court date, or lost job, or even a public callout. But trust erodes and so does the weight of your word. People just slowly stop believing you little by little and then all at once. They stop counting on you, including you, and most of the time they never even tell you why they stepped away because in their minds you should already know.

There are some who people genuinely cannot hold themselves accountable. Not won't, but literally cannot. You know the type: the finger always goes outward to point blame rather than using their hands to do the work it takes to change the parts of themselves constantly getting themselves into energetic messes. The narrative always seems to shift. There's always a reason or excuse, always someone else who's really at fault, always an asterisk next to their role in what happened with cliffnotes of “important context” that shields them from blame. Most of us would be lying if we said that at some point, we didn’t fall into this ego trap ourselves.

Some of these people grew up in homes where mistakes were dangerous. When the adults around you are unpredictable, unethical, or just straight-up wrong, you learn fast that being caught is a threat. So you get good at hiding it. Deflecting, reframing, disappearing the evidence. Lying stops being a moral choice and starts being a survival skill. You don't even do it consciously after a while. It's just what you do. It's what kept you safe when nothing else would. It's a natural adaptation to unnurturing environments. Beyond the long term impact of (c)PTSD symptoms, we never learn what healthy processing of taking accountability looks like because we had to hide our roles in mistakes and/or take forced accountability of things we had no part of.

Then there's the other side of it. Some people come to the exact same inability from total abundance. Someone like a golden child. The one who could do no wrong and whose mistakes got minimized or cleaned up by everyone around them would have a real difficulty saying “I was wrong”. When you've never really been held to account, accountability a foreign concept to apply to the Self. Not because they were traumatized into avoidance, but because they never had to face adversity that forced them to develop that muscle. And now as an adult the discomfort of self-directed anger or disappointment is so unfamiliar it feels like injustice.

Of course there are people where neither of those stories fit. No obvious wound or overprotective upbringing. Just a genuine disconnect between action and awareness. An astrological example that might cause this inability to see oneself clearly would be a wholly unaspected Sun. When the Sun makes no major aspects to other planets in a chart there's often something untethered about the ego's relationship to cause and effect. The self moves through the world without much feedback from the rest of the psyche. It's not malicious. It's just a blind spot baked into the chart.

Something I’ve noticed all three of these type of tend to share, beyond the lack of accountability, is a deep difficulty with boundaries. Not just holding them but receiving and respecting them. When someone says “hey I didn’t like that, please don’t do that again” what registers for most people as a simple honest moment of transparency reads to these people as a full personal attack. On their character, on the relationship, maybe even on their reputation. So they dig their heels in deep or they ghost. They disappear. Because that feels safer than sitting in the discomfort of having affected someone, which would require them to look at themselves. On the flip side, this same black and white thinking will lead to your violation of their invisible and unstated boundaries to view you as wholly bad rather than be able to articulate the line. A boundary is not an accusation. But when you’ve never practiced accountability it’s almost impossible to interpret it as anything else.

That’s what makes this Saturn transit particularly unforgiving. Saturn rules our deep fears and isolation. He rules boundaries and responsibility. So when Aries starts pressing on these sore and untrained places, a lot of people aren’t going to rise to meet it. They’re going to run. And it won’t look like running, it’ll look like doubling down. People will be louder, more aggressive, try and lobby even more deflection, and making their inability to accept their fair share of an issue everyone else’s problem. The fear of sitting alone with the truth of yourself is for some people completely unbearable. Saturn doesn’t care. He’ll keep the pressure on regardless of how loud it gets even if that means something irreperably shatters.

Because that’s what Saturn does. He doesn’t dismiss what you’ve been through but he does require you to work with what you’ve got now. That’s why he’s so powerful for facilitating shadow work in astrology. Saturn in Aries is going to keep triggering the places where your anger is really self-protection in battle ready armor. Where the defensiveness is a wall you built so long ago you forgot it was ever a choice to erect it in the first place. Where the limitations you keep running into out there are actually within, in your own unexamined patterns and refusal to look at what your hands are building and destroying.

This transit is bringing opportunity for honest and clear-eyed acknowledgment. This is what I did. This is what I’m actually capable of right now. This is where I need to grow. No collapsing into shame or escaping into blame. Aries doesn't do waiting around for bold change, and neither does Saturn.

The fog of Pisces has lifted. The portrait has been brought downstairs. The only question left is what you’re going to do about what everyone, including you, gets to see?

Aspects in astrology show us how the planetary archetypes within their sign and house merge and blend with others in the chart. I look at it as being able to open up a computer and looking at the wiring of the Soul.
Think of the natal chart as a circuit board, and the planets as the individual components sitting on it. Each one carries its own charge, its own function directives and its own frequency. The aspects are the piece that tells you exactly how the current moves between them by measuring the degrees that separate them and reading deeper into the geometrical language of the stars.

The different aspects tell us which planets are hardwired together, running on the same circuit, creating resistance, or weakened and barely connected at all. This is why aspects are not just technical measurements and why reducing planetary placents OR aspects into “good” or “bad” categories misses the entire point. Every astrologer has an opinion on which aspects are “hard” and “easy,” but what most surface-level readings miss is that difficulty is not what we’re supposed to focus on. The important takeaway is the amount of work each aspect demands. The quality of the energy is less important than the quality of the connection, because a clean wire carrying difficult energy is always going to outperform a faulty wire that’s carrying easy energy and losing it along the way. What you are really seeing when you look at an aspect is the nature of the relationship between two forces, and like any relationship, the structure of it determines everything about what it can and cannot do.

The square is two planets sitting roughly 90° apart, considered a tense aspect because it is competitive by nature. These energies are grinding against each other like tectonic plates to carve out something meaningful within your personality. It wants to win and to have dominance, so in early life it usually plays out as internal friction that gets externalized as tantrums and/or conflict, self-sabotage, or an almost compulsive need to prove something. These two planetary energies are not fundamentally incompatible, they are just fighting over the same territory and running full charge into each other. This gets significantly more complicated when a malefic is involved. Saturn squaring the Moon as an example is not just friction between two parts of you, it is one planet with the power to throttle and intimidate the other into near total shutdown. The vulnerable emotional body trying to naturally ebb and flow and express while a cold, contracting force is sitting in judgement can restrict the current until it barely moves. In childhood this is hard to push through because Saturn shows you quickly how unsafe unrestricted emotional expression can make you.

But after you do the hard work of introspection and self awareness, once you have been run over by that pattern enough times and pushed the rock up the mountain enough times to know exactly how heavy it is, something changes and falls into place. The square has been strength training you this entire time. It becomes stamina and resilience. You stop being surprised by the resistance and start using it to your advantage and that is when the energy that was once destroying you starts building something instead. When the planets involved finally stop competing for control the integration that follows is some of the most powerful, focused, and driven energy available in our chart. The square builds through the art of tearing down what’s too weak to withstand pressure and challange. It is restless until it finds a purpose worthy of its friction and when it does, it becomes nearly unstoppable. Unfortunately that maturity tends to come through repeated confrontation with the same themes until the native finally gets tired enough of losing the fight to try something different.

An opposition is another tense aspect but this one operates differently in both structure and soul. Two planets sit directly across from each other at 180°, pulled in opposite directions along their axis, and yet they are always facing one another. There is no ignoring an opposition. It forces the two opposing “sister signs” to work together despite their differences. If the square is an internal war, the opposition is more of a negotiation table. In early life nobody shows up knowing how to negotiate so the energy just bounces control and spotlight back and forth. What makes this aspect so psychologically rich is that it almost always manifests externally first, experiencing the opposing planet as something they keep encountering in other people to help them learn more about the nuances in a space that feels more safe. You project one side of the coin and you attract someone who is operating on the other, and then you spend years in an ongoing relationship with the tension you have not yet owned. The opposition teaches through acceptance and understanding that two contradictory things can in fact be true at the same time. This can be a slow and humbling process. It’s a tale as old as time: Two forces that seem opposed discovering they were always two halves of the same thing. When an opposition matures it creates a most sophisticated kind of self-awareness that only comes from being forced into deep immersion with your own dichotomy long enough to stop calling parts of yourself the enemy.

The inconjunction, sometimes called a quincunx, is where most astrologers either get vague or get it wrong. It sits at 150° which puts it in a strange position: too far from the opposition to force confrontation and too far removed from the trine to flow naturally. The planets involved share no common element or modality so there is no shared frame of reference to go off of to notice one another outwardly. This is not the productive conflict of a square or the forced understanding of an opposition because the energy flows through our blindspots and subconscious. These planets genuinely cannot see what the other is doing beyond a few brief glimpses, like two ships passing in the night. They operate in parallel, occasionally creating bizarre internal discomfort because one part of you moves in a direction that completely disrupts another part in ways that you can’t put your finger on logically.

An inconjunction is what it looks like when oil and water share a bottle. Yes, they are both liquids and they occupy the same container. But they do not mix beyond a brief window inspired by an outward shakeup and no amount of shaking changes what they fundamentally are. You can integrate a square and own both sides of an opposition. With an inconjunction the highest attainment is usually something closer to conscious management and learning to account for the disruption rather than expecting resolution between them. We make peace with the fact that these two parts have agreed to disagree at a level so foundational that demanding they reconcile only creates more chaos.

This Pisces New Moon arrives on March 18th, 2026 at 6:32 pm at 28°27’. The Lunar activation at the 28th degree is not the wide-eyed idealist archetype we find at the beginning of the sign. The luminaries have moved through the full spectrum of dissolution, compassion, grief, transcendence, illusion, and surrender. It has felt everything and lost half of it in preperation for reincarnation in Aries. What remains is something distilled, a knowing that lives beyond the scope of language.

The New Moon forms an exact sextile to Uranus in Taurus, who is forming an applying trine to Juno in Capricorn. These three form a minor grand trine with the luminaries at the apex. The base of a major aspect pattern is where the energy originates power of expression. Uranus in Taurus has been dismantling our relationship to security, morals and values, money, and the earth itself for since 2018. Juno in Capricorn brings the architecture of commitment, the long agreements, the structures we build our lives inside of to create legacies upon. Juno trine Uranus means that disruption and devotion are not opposing forces right now, they are in a rare act of collaboration. That is the energy flowing upward into the New Moon, and into you. What is being activated is your capacity to receive an unexpected reorientation and treat it not as a threat to your way of life, but as a course correction you didn’t realize you needed or wanted. It’s faith driven in the space of Pisces, transcending this lifetime. The sextile is an open door, not a forced hand. You still have to walk through it.

The New Moon is applying toward conjunction with Neptune in Aries, meeting it just five hours later in transit. An applying conjunction carries more charge than a separating one because there is anticipation charged in it. Like a held breath, there’s a feeling of something enormous moving toward you that you can sense before you can logically understand it. Neptune thins the veil between what is real and what is felt and because the New Moon is in Pisces, that boundary between reality and the other side of that feels functionally nonexistent. This is going to bring profound spiritual sensitivity and also a profound vulnerability to confusion, projection, and self-deception. Use the openness to receive but don’t leave your discernment out of the process.

Mercury retrograde sits in exact conjunction with the North Node at 8° Pisces, just two days before turning direct. His retrograde through Pisces has kept us in a liminal space of exestential questions without answer. We’re driving toward the deeper meaning of our existence and reality, and our beliefs about what it all means have been under magnifying glass. The (and I cannot believe I am saying this) LITERAL HOLY WAR happening right now is a terrible literal example of this. Now Mercury in this point of reflection aligns with the lunar node of collective destiny under a lunar activation. The questions rising won’t be new, but the weight and impact of the answers we give will be. What do you actually believe and feel in your bones to be true? Not what you were taught, or what keeps you comfortable. Not what you inherited from the people who raised you or the culture that shaped you, but what is it that you believe actually drives meaning and morality? What happens after this life ends and does any of it matter at all? It’s probably not going to hit you during deep meditation or prayer, but in a conversation you didn’t expect to go that deep. These are heavy questions and they may come with equally heavy answers.

Mercury and the Lunar Nodes sit in an exact square with Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius. This harsh activation hold an energetic punch because Lilith in Sagittarius represents the part of us that was exiled for asking the wrong questions. She believed the wrong things and refused to confine her philosophy to what the dominant culture finds acceptable. She holds strong and volitile opinions about foreign lands and people, and equally strong are her opinions about those who oppose her long studied belief system(s). The past and the future and coming together with a point of spiritual reflection and the demonized and rejected parts of the emotional psyche and we’re seeing that play out with what is deemed to be “other” and what does not belong. She is ruled by Jupiter in Cancer who by nature is tribalistic and nationalistic in his dedication to the homeland. We are living through a political movement both at home and abroad where ideology is being used to justify the targeting of people based on origin, religion, documentation, and perceived difference. The fact that this activation happens under a Moon ruled by Jupiter in Cancer and Neptune in Aries is deeply troubling and signifies the potential for children to be sent to war to fight for their country. I am not predicting a draft, but I am also not ruling one out. The choices made now will be incredibly relevent under the energy of the Full Moon in August.

On a more personal level this square drives to the heart of where you have silenced your own unorthodox knowing to remain acceptable. Where have you swallowed a truth because the room wasn’t safe enough to hold it? Lilith does not forget what was suppressed. She keeps the record. Due to this activation with Mercury retrograde she is pressing on the places where your authentic philosophy has been edited for palatability, and the North Node is telling you that where you are going requires you to stop making those edits. The fate line runs directly through the thing you have been afraid to say out loud or admit to yourself. This same energy may culminate in a driving need to leave and move somewhere far enough that it is deemed foreign travel. The 4 quadrants of the USA are far spread enough to quality, so it doesn’t necessarily mean immigration. This urgency to go may be so strong and unexplainable it feels like every cell in your body is screaming to go. Think it though, but don’t discount your intution and sense of self preservation.

A New Moon kicks off a new cycle and the Full Moon is where we find out what you actually became of it. The course of the next six months between the Pisces New Moon and this Full Moon on August 27th, 2026 at 9:18 pm PST at 4°54’ will force us to clarify our beliefs, dissolve what no longer holds water, and move toward a more honest relationship with God, meaning, and surrender. We will feel very differently about the world and ourselves by the end of the summer one way or another, so let’s move forth with the faith and intention Pisces inspires.

The Sun will be in a tight separating conjunction with Mercury, the Cazimi exact just four hours prior. What’s interesting about that is ten hours before the Full Moon the Moon crossed the North Node. That thread from March pulls taut in a very obvious way here. The questions that rose and plagued us with existential searching and no solid answers about belief and meaning and where any of this is going, arrive now at a moment of illumination. Mercury cazimi, the Sun burning away everything Mercury doesn’t need, suggests that our belief and faith will have been refined down to its essential truth. What you know by August, you cannot unknow.

The Full Moon sits within less than a degree of Vesta’s position under the New Moon.

The Vestal Virgins’ entire existence was organized around tending something that could not be allowed to go out for the sake of everyone’s safety. The punishment for allowing it to die was severe, because the implications of loss of connection to divine protection were grave. Her presence at this degree in March was quiet but purposeful, a devotion so private it required no audience. Now the Moon has arrived at that same degree to illuminat what you consecrated in March. Whatever private act of faith you committed to in the dark, this is where it is seen. Not performed or romanticized into something that it isn’t but actually seen.

Uranus formed a cooperative sextile to the New Moon, but under the Full Moon he will have moved into Gemini to square the lumanries instead. This places Uranus at the apex of a t-square with the Sun and Moon at the base. What was an inviting open door in March has turned into a pressure test with unpredictable outcomes. Uranus in Gemini fractures narrative, accelerates information, and makes the ground of what we thought we understood unreliable. A t-square is a configuration that demands resolution of the differences from the opposition at the base through the apex planet, and Uranus does not resolve. It disrupts, innovates, and forces adaptation into a new way of thinking. The volatility that felt like distant and exciting electricity under the New Moon is now in plugged right into the collective nervous system and running white hot, rife with change. This can create an incredible amount of anxiety and irritablility if not given a proper outlet. Physical and mental exercise should be prioritized to let off some steam.

The Moon’s square to Uranus forms the base of a major aspect pattern called a Thor’s Hammer with Venus in Libra at the apex. A Thor’s Hammer demands integrity and strength to weild the because it concentrates pressure of the tense square at the base and shoots it directly at the apex planet. The energetic expression from Venus that comes out depends entirely on how the base is handled. Moon square Uranus is electrically unstable, reactive, unpredictable. It drives us to become prone to emotional volatility that moves faster than our wisdom can catch and restrain. If that square is mismanaged and allowed to run on impulse, defensiveness, or unprocessed feeling, Venus is allowed to becomes her lowest expression. Petty. Vindictive. Jealous. Desperate to gain attention and assuance that we still have a place of value and admiration from others in order to quell the anxiety the Moon feels.

Juno will retrograde back to the exact degree and minute she occupied under the New Moon. The commitments that were being renegotiated in March, the agreements examined and the relational contracts held up to the light, are now back on the table. She’s asking whether or not we were able to follow through and if it’s been beneficial at all to do so. With Venus at the apex of the Thor’s Hammer and such a volitile base, this energy will not bode well for unstable and unhealthy relationship connections. This same energy will also have major implications on employment contracts.

The Sun and Mercury will sit at the apex of a YOD with Pluto in Aquarius sextile Neptune in Aries at the base.

This will place the ego, the mind and the will at a point of holy reflection. A YOD is also known as a finger of god and Pluto and Neptune in sextile at the base form a background energy that is easy to ignore but still seismic in it’s impact. Their collective transformation and dissolution have been cooperating all year through the Generational Minor Grand Trine with Uranus, and is now feeding their combined energy up toward a singular personalized directive. The Sun and Mercury are being asked to embody something, to speak something, to make a choice that drives us toward rightousness. The Moon sits as the boomerang point opposite that apex. A boomerang point is where energy ricochets when the YOD’s demands feel too large. It’s the serpant that tells you the journey isn’t worth taking, tempting you to stray away from your path. Because it’s sitting inside the emotional body, it’ll be tempting to stay anchored in feeling, replaying the wound, and rehearsing the fear. These all acts as ball and chain to weigh against the highest expression the chart is reaching for. Both major aspect patterns in this Full Moon carry the same message: the emotional body is not the enemy, but it also cannot be the captain. We can honor our feelings without letting them take over. The price of admission will be the willingness to feel without being consumed by it.
